Test and measurement Innovator Leader Instruments Corporation has presented a new tool for integral resolution and monitoring of the NDI signal. The software application will be equally valuable for the emitters and production companies, systems integrators that verify the topographs of the network and the manufacturers of devices that need a quick and simple way to verify the NDI transmissions.

NDI Checker is a software application that runs in a browser on a standard Windows PC. Simply connect this to a signal network and NDI Checker can show a complete list of NDI signals in implementation, give clear access to all technical parameters of any individual signal, provide a trust monitor and create a record of events.

On a screen, operators can instantly confirm the video format, bits rate and frames received. The event record can capture up to 100,000 events, which are shown in the monitor and available for export as a CSV file for a later analysis.

“NDI has become a very popular production format, and we are pleased to present this addition to our family of reliable and practical tools,” he said Moriharu Ide, President, Leader Instruments Corporation. “On a screen, an engineer can monitor each signal in a workflow, have a clear overview of the network performance, create an event record to track performance and see any signal at any time, all in real time.

“IP connectivity is configured to transform the way the content occurs, but brings a new and different set of challenges to maintain the quality and reliability of the signal,” said Ide. “This meets the real requirements of the engineers and operators of the Network, with the practicality of the characteristic leader. Users know that they can trust the leading brand to obtain precision, along with simplicity in operation.”

The signal monitoring application of the NDI verifier will be demonstrated in NAB2025, at Stand N331 in the North Hall. This will also see the results of the union of the leader and the Phabrix development teams, including a new significant family analysis and instruments to generate test signals under the Leaderphabrx brand. Visitors can see and try equipment for the test, measurement and monitoring of all signal types: SDI, IP and hybrid, up to 4K resolution and more.
