Kyiv:
Ukraine and Russia have not hit the energy facilities of the other since Tuesday, the day the White House announced agreements reached in conversations with both parties in Saudi Arabia, a senior Ukrainian official told AFP.
Washington had said on Tuesday that both kyiv and Moscow agreed separately “developing measures to implement” a strike stop on the energy infrastructure.
“Since March 25, we have not seen any direct Russian success in the energy sector, so we do not attack them,” said the official on Thursday, referring to the Russian objectives.
The United States had also said that both parties had agreed to stop strikes in the Black Sea, although Moscow said that he first wanted a decrease in sanctions that affect their agricultural exports.
“Nothing is clear about the sea,” said the Ukrainian source on Thursday.
The official said that Moscow attacked the energy facilities of Ukraine, even after Russian President Vladimir Putin originally agreed for a 30 -day stand in such attacks in a phone call with the American leader Donald Trump on March 19.
“From March 18 to 25, there were eight hits: two bombs, six drones” in Ukrainian energy sites, said the official.
Russia also previously accused Ukraine of surprising electricity stations in its Kursk and Bryansk regions with drones on Mondays and Tuesdays.
