Laptop manufacturers should really stop the term IA to market their products. The recently launched Acer Swift 14, for example, even has an AI activity indicator that shines during the execution of AI tasks. Fortunately, the Swift 14 AI is much more than its AI brand. It has an excellent battery life, a good display, many ports, an elegant design and decent performance.
The Acer Swift 14 AI has the latest Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors. Our examination unit, which has the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor, costs RS. 89 999, while the high-end variant with the Intel Core Ultra 7 256V processor costs RS. 104 999. Should this be your next work portable? Read the rest to discover it.
Acer Swift 14 AI design
The SWIFT 14 AI has a simple design that will not run many heads, although some can be curious about the unusual logo on the lid (other than the Acer brand) or the brilliant on the trackpad. It has an aluminum chassis with a matt finish that can collect fingerprints and stains but is easy to clean.
The lid is robust and has no flexion
The cover is robust with any flexion, and there is a 180 -degree hinge which also seems durable. And for those who wonder, yes, you can lift the cover with a finger. The 180 -degree hinge also means that you can put the laptop flat if necessary.
The 180 -degree hinge seemed durable
I also liked the metal chamfered edges around the screen. The bottom is removable and is also made of metal. There is no bending inside, unless you press hard in the center of the keyboard. It is a well -built laptop despite the fact of not using a monocoque construction. It offers MIL-STD-810 sustainability, which is good.
The lid has a chamfered telescope which adds to the design
The intake ports are below, while you will see that the exhaust ports are placed at the rear. You will also find large rubber feet and double-bottomed shooting speakers. The design integrates subtle curves but largely follows a flat and angular aesthetic. At its thinnest point, the Swift 14 AI is only 9.7 mm.
The laptop has drop-down loudspeakers
There are enough ports to connect all kinds of peripherals: an HDMI 2.1 port, USB 3.2 Gen 1 USB ports, two Type-C USB connectors (Thunderbolt 4) and an audio plug of 3.5 mm. Above the display is an IR QHD 1440P camera, a physical confidentiality component and two microphones.
You get a lot of ports on the Swift 14 AI
Inside, you will find a real-sized backlit keyboard which is actually pleasant to type. There is enough spacing between the keys, and they also offer a good amount of key trips.
The keyboard is pleasant to type thanks to the adequate travel and spacing between the keys
The backlight is adjustable and can be extinguished. You also get the Copilot button and an Acersense key on the keyboard. The power button is also used to scan fingerprints, which worked very well during my exam.
Under the keyboard is an adequate size touchpad. He supports multi-touch gestures as usual, is protected by Gorilla Glass and has an “activity indicator” as Acer calls it. The indicator is located in the upper right corner of the touchpad and shines each time you turn on the laptop, use Copilot or AI applications, or use the NPU.
The pulsate activity indicator whenever there is an AI activity
Although this indicator is not used for any purpose, it looks cool.

Our ACER Swift 14 AI Revue unit is delivered with the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor of the series 2, the Intel ARC 130V GPU, the RAM LPDDR5X 16 GB and the SSD 512 GB PCIe Gen 4. There is also a variant with the Intel Core Ultra 7 256V chipset, which obtains the Intel Arc 140V GPU, the RAM 32 GB and the storage of 1 To. We have directed our usual set of synthetic references to see how this in relation to some of the other laptops that we tested with the chipsets of the 2 series. The tests were carried out with the laptop set in performance mode.

The laptop worked very well with regard to navigation, streaming, YouTube content and some light games. With regular use, the laptop was barely warmed up. However, during the references, when you play more demanding games and performing several applications, the laptop was slightly hot and the fans started. You can play games on the laptop thanks to the Intel Arc 130V GPU. I played at Forza Horizon 4 and the laptop delivered around 30 to 40 images per second at the bottom parameter. I would not recommend using the laptop for games. However, you could play independent games that are light on the graphics.
The laptop works well in daily tasks
Speaking of graphics, the 14 -inch OLED display on the laptop is excellent to display the content. I appreciated the Netflix streaming and Amazon Prime Content on the Swift 14 AI. The colors are bright and you also get HDR support. The display offers a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels with a refresh rate of 60 Hz and 400 Nits. The high -end model obtains an OLED 3K screen.
The OLED panel is one of the best features of the laptop
The laptop runs Windows 11 Home and offers several IA features such as Copilot, Cocreator, Live Legends and Windows Studio Effects. Acer has also cooked in certain features of AI, such as Ancersense, which even obtains a dedicated button. This allows you to change the system settings and more. You also get Acer Liveart 2.0, Acer Visionart and Acer User Sensing 2.0.
The web camera worked well in good lighting conditions, with a decent color reproduction and a dynamic range. However, there is a lot of noise in the low light scenarios. The IR sensor also allows you to unlock the face via Windows Hello, but I preferred the fingerprint scanner on the keyboard because it was more precise.
The laptop offers a physical confidentiality shutter for the web camera
In terms of audio performance, the Acer Swift 14 Ai has two downward speakers, which are below average. They are not noisy, and they do not give noise. Acer has also provided DTS support: X Ultra Audio, but that does nothing to improve audio performance. The sound on the laptop is a big disappointment.
Finally, the Swift 14 AI 65W battery impressed me. The laptop easily lasts a working day. When the battery is low, you can load it quickly using the USB Type-C 65W charger included.
Acer Swift 14 Verdict ai
The Acer Swift 14 AI is a very good work laptop with good construction quality, an excellent OLED screen, a lifespan of length of length and decent performance in all kinds of applications. The laptop is an excellent value for money, without a doubt, but it is not because of the brand or features of the AI. Do not buy the laptop for AI features, buy it for all the other useful features it offers. However, if everything you need is a good laptop for work or domestic use, the SWIFT 14 AI is excellent.
