CML Micro expands its SµRF products portfolio with a pair of single efficiency power amplifiers and two stages that offer outstanding performance for a wide range of wireless devices with double -cell lithium lithium battery.
The CMX90A007 is a two -stage high -stage heteroyuncio bipolar amplifier and in two stages, which can be used as an independent final stage power amplifier. It can also be used as the controller stage for the new CMX90A009, an HBT GAAS power amplifier of a single thermal stage provided as the output stage in a high -power amplifier transmission chain. The wide frequency range of the two devices of 136-1,000 MHz covers a wide range of frequency bands and applications, including bidirectional radios.
QFN and DFN devices are thermally improved for long -term reliability and optimized to allow PCB integration with space limitation. The coincidence outside the chip allows electronic designers to adapt power amplifiers for optimal performance in a range of applications that use double cell lithium batteries, including critical communications phones, private and mobile manual laptops (PMR and LMR), two -way radios (analog and digital) and networks of wireless The addition of these power amplifiers to their SµRF portfolio means that CML Micro can supply a complete chipset solution for bidirectional radios and other systems.
The CMX90A007 offers output power +33.5 dBm (2.2W) with> 55% efficiency at 435 MHz and 7.4V. The CMX90A009 offers output power +40.0 dBm (10W) with> 60% efficiency at 435 MHz and 7.4V.
The ability to function from a supply voltage range from 6.0V to 9.5V allows amplifiers to feed directly from a double cell lithium battery without the need for a voltage regulator. Both power amplifiers are also equipped with an integrated active bias circuit that provides temperature compensation, simplifying the design process for portable communications products developers.
“There has been a lot of obsolescence in the energy amplifiers market that offer high performance around 7.5 v of operation,” he says Rob Smith, director of the product line in CML micro. “This has created supply chain problems that have caused many challenges for many organizations, such as bidirectional radio manufacturers. We are introducing power amplifiers of a monocy stage one and two highly integrated stages based on Gallium Arsenide technology that are designed to work together and our goal is to support the market for many years.”
The CMX90A007 and CMX90A009 are now available in Asia, Europe and the United States.
