Mining for a big screen success

He was strongly delayed, but A minecraft film is finally there.
The extremely popular video game strikes the big screen on Friday and has a star cast, especially Jason Momoa, Jack Black and Jennifer Coolidge.
It tells the story of four unsuitables which are suddenly drawn through a mysterious portal in the world – the place where all players start in Minecraft.
Minecraft is one of The best -selling video games in the worldSo there is a lot of pressure to deliver for fans of the world in block (my 11 -year -old nephew is legitimately more excited for this than Christmas).
“This game has been loved by millions and millions worldwide for years now, and I think this film is a big problem for many people, because now it’s generational,” Black said.
There was a long story of game flops in the film. But others, like Sonic, were massive successes, so that’s what Warner Bros will without any doubt.
Djo knows what I mean?

American actor Joe Keery is best known as the reformed Jock Steve Harrington, one of the main (and most friendly) characters in the SCI-Fi Stranger Things series.
But he also has a clever line in Throwback Indie-Pop, which he interprets as a DJO. The pseudonym was initially an attempt to avoid the accusations he exchanged on his fame. He would even occur disguised.
This changed when he had a break with the end of the beginning – a slice of heavy psychedia of the synth which became viral on Tiktok last year, often the soundtrack of videos on what people would do if they won the lottery.
Attention has put a rocket under his musical career. While his first two albums were DIY business, recorded in a few days and self-published, his latest, The Crux, was created in the legendary electric studios in New York.
Released on Friday, it is full of words out of Kilter and wavy synth lines that dig in your brain. The first two singles, Delete Ya and Basic being basic have already been radio tubes, and the rest of the album is influencing as diverse as the light electric orchestra, the new order, the cake, the hall & oates and Bruce Springsteen (by coincidence, all the groups that work perfectly on the Stranger Things soundtrack).
There are a few knockouts – including the Garage Rock Crunchy Rock of Gap Denteed Smile, and the agitated Hymn Link of New Wave – but the point of the album is its diversity. Keery envisaged each song as the story of a separate guest in a hotel where everyone is at a spiritual or emotional crossroads.
Queens on screen

Six The musical tells the story of the many wives of Henri VIII, while they come out of the shadow of their famous husband and recover the story.
Now the queens move on the screen.
A production step filmed of Six live musicals live! With the original West End casting, will be released in cinemas on Sunday.
The creators Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss told me what to expect.
“It is not just a live capture of what is on stage, but an immersive experience and concerning the concert,” they said.
“You can attend incredible performance closely – noting small details and subtleties that you could miss in the theater. But you also get exciting, inventive explosive visuals that make you feel as part of the party.”
He is the big switch 2 reveal
By Tom Gerken, technological journalist
This week has been game fans around the world for months, because we are finally about to learn what is going on with the Switch 2, the long -awaited sequel to the Nintendo Switch, alias the third best sales console in history.
It is therefore not surprising that we get news on Wednesday – but the question is what?
Almost certainly Nintendo will unveil a price and a launch date. But what will be, who knows – July 2025 feels like a safe bet, but to be fair, would anyone be surprised if he was going out in December?
Fans are desperate for news on games. The rumor mill swirls with discussions on a new Mario, Zelda and Pokémon, but no one has proof to support him. (I personally bite your hand for a new emblem of fire, but it’s just me …)
Are we going to see new super flashy graphics? A high quality screen? Better battery life? There are too many questions to list.
Only one thing is really certain – whatever happens, when Nintendo’s announcement is over, we will be allowed to count on the days at the real liberation of the console … whenever it can be.
