The former Coventry City player who has become the star of reality Ashley Cain entered some of the most dangerous cities in the world as part of the new factual series Ashley Cain: in the danger zone.
The six -part series sees Mr. Cain explore the problems encountered by young men born in a life on the sidelines of society, where crime has become a form of survival.
The 34 -year -old man of Nuneaton experienced what it was to be under the supervision of the cartel in Colombia, visited a prison filled with gangs in the Philippines and observed illegal poaching in South Africa.
Mr. Cain said that the series does not only concern danger but also the perspective and non -filtered reality.
He credited his daughter Azaylia, who died of a rare form of leukemia in April 2021, for the opportunities and doors that had been opened to him.
“I would not do anything that I do now, I would not have done anything I have achieved in the past four years if it was not for her.
“I was able to hear people who have no opportunity, who have no chance, who have been excluded from society, on everything they need and it is not much.”
The 34-year-old said he wanted to try to adopt the things he had learned while doing the series and putting them in place in the United Kingdom.
“There is a lot of poverty here, there are a lot of problems and violence here, I just want to try to make the world better,” he added.

Mr. Cain said the Brazilian favelas were the most scary he visited but added: “It was also the most fantastic and phenomenal place, I dreamed of going there since I was a child.”
He added that his experiences meant that he was “the right person for work”.
“I was mentioned by being exposed to certain things where I could have easily entered a crime life.
“I had a lot of traumatic experiences that caused me a lot of pain and grief that could have made me angry and bitter to the world.
“I don’t think you can have a better person to enter these situations,” he said.
Ashley Cain: in the danger zone, will be broadcast on BBC three at 9:00 p.m. BST Tuesday and All episodes are available on BBC Iplayer.
