The 78 -year -old president will present the measures and plans in the White House Garden at 4 PM EST (1.30 am isth) and the new tasks would immediately take effect. A 25% separated global tariff in automotive imports is scheduled to enter into force on April 3.
According to the Global Commercial Research Initiative of Think Tank (GTRI), new tariffs could significantly affect Indian exports. A uniform tariff could leave India facing an additional 4.9% tax compared to the current 2.8%, which impact sectors such as agriculture, electronics and pharmaceutical products, according to the report “Reciprocal and Indian rates” of GTRI.
On early Wednesday, Trump published a line of a line on his true social platform: “It is the day of liberation in the United States!”
Trump for weeks has said that his reciprocal tariff plans are a movement to match the rates of US rates. Global markets have been nervous for days before the announcement, while countries probably have requested conversations, even when preparing retaliation measures.
