Marvel Rivals is shortening its seasons, which, in the future, a new hero will be added to the list once a month. This change will begin with season 3, which should begin at some point for the period from July to August.
Announced at the Marvel Rivals Season 2 Dev Vision, from Season 3, the Marvel Rivals seasons will last two months instead of three, with heroes that arrive at the beginning and the middle points of each season. This means that the heroes will fall approximately once a month, adding new characters to the list at a fast pace. As a reference, Overwatch 2 seasons last a similar length, but the new heroes only add every 2-3 seasons, or approximately six months in among new heroes.
Season 2 of Marvel Rivals, which will see the incorporation of Emma Frost at the launch on April 11 for a Hellfire gala season, with Ultron arriving at the average season, approximately six weeks from the beginning. Season 1 saw the incorporation of the four members of the fantastic four, but netease said the future seasons would only present two new characters. A shorter season could also mean shorter battle passes, but netease said it would share more details about any change in the future.
The video also revealed that season 2 will see the introduction of new color options for popular skins, although it was not clear if this would require an additional purchase, and the ability to give skins to other players. He also revealed new teams, including one for Captain America and Winter Soldier, in addition to updates for the elderly. Some are completely eliminated, such as Thor’s team, Captain America and Storm. Season 2 of Marvel’s rivals arrives on April 11.
