Wimbledon has announced plans to expand Henman Hill on time for championships in 2027.
The Bank of Grass next to the Court one won his nickname after the legions of fans without tickets for the center of the court went there to see the feats of the homemade hero Tim Henman on the big screen in the 1990s and 2000s.
It is still one of the most popular places in the Club of England and, as part of the celebrations of the 150th anniversary in two years, it will be remodeled to provide 20 percent more capacity.
The developments, which will begin after next year’s tournament, will see the current levels reduced in gradient walls and aggregate retention to provide additional seats, while wheelchair access will be improved.
Meanwhile, a new pergola will provide rain and shadow cover.

Aeltc’s president, Deborah Jevans, said: “The re -urbanization of our world -famous colina, on time for the 2027 championship, will allow even more tennis fans to enjoy their unique atmosphere and point of view.
“I am particularly happy that these plans increase the accessibility of the hill so that our guests use wheelchairs or have additional accessibility requirements.
“It is an exciting opportunity to look at 2027 and the 150th anniversary of the first championship.”
