Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Fujitsu Limited announced an association to explore the creation of a data analysis business, designed to train customers with greater decision making and operational efficiency.
The association occurs after a joint project team formed by the two companies in 2024 conducted a survey of customer needs and discovered that various industries, including manufacturing, wholesaler and retail trade, wish to get away from decision -making based on individual experience and promote data -based operations to improve efficiency and improve management decisions.
To meet these needs, the two companies will combine their experience and technologies to create a data analysis business focused on solving customer challenges.
These efforts are found in the context of the aging population of Japan and the decrease in the birth rate, which leads to the scarcity of labor and the increase in personnel costs, so the corporate awareness of the importance of sustainability efforts also continues, including efforts to reduce CO2 emissions by optimizing invent management and minimizing waste in manufacturing.
