Redmi Buds 6 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) The headphones were launched earlier this month and are currently available in India. They were unveiled in India alongside the telephones of the Redmi Note 14 5G series. With up to 42 hours of total lifetime of the total battery, they support 360 -degree space audio and up to 49 dB of hybrid active noise (ANC). The headphones offer double peripheral connectivity and they have a listed IP54 construction for dust and splash resistance. Helmets are at the price of the country to Rs. 2,999. Let’s explore if they are worth your consideration.
Redmi Buds 6 Design and features: chic and light

Weight – 5g (each bud); 43.2g (case)
Resistance to water and dust – IP54 (headphones only)

The Redmi Buds 6 headphones have a traditional intra-ear design and ear tips are available in three sizes. The headphones are delivered with medium -sized tips preinstalled on the headphones, as well as two additional pairs of silicone tips – a small and a large – in the box. Of these three, the medium gave me the safest adjustment. These are not the most comfortable headphones that I have tried, but they are far from the worst. I could use them for a few hours on a section without any discomfort.
The intra-ear design of the Redmi Buds 6 allows decent adjustment
Tactile controls on the Redmi 6 headphones are smooth and intuitive. The sensors are placed upwards. Like most competing machines, you can customize different TAP actions with different functions via the Companion application, which we will discuss in the next section. The headphones are on their sides in the case, the load connectors placed on the inside side closest to your face when you have them.
The compact and magnetic case has a USB type C port and an LED flow design at the front. The torque button is placed on the right side, while the “Redmi” brand is seen at the top of the case. The flow LED adds a cool visual aesthetic, yes, but it also has a functional objective. It displays the level of the battery when the case is closed or the pairing button is pressed. In this way, you know when to dominate the load in the case without groping to check it on the application each time.
The Redmi Buds 6 headphones have an IP54 rating for dust resistance and splashing, but the case has no such notes of penetration. This could have been more important because of my white examination unit, but the case attracts a good amount of dust and marks.
The Xiaomi Earbuds application has a simple and accessible provision
Redmi Buds 6 Application and specifications: adequate
Driver – 12.4 mm + 5.5 mm
Companion application – Xiaomi headphones
Gesture checks – Yes
The Redmi Buds 6 is compatible with the application of Xiaomi headphones, which has a simple and accessible provision. The percentage of headphones and the load box (when open) are visible on the reception screen, followed by noise cancellation modes. There are noise cancellation modes – noise cancellation, disabled and transparency. With transparency mode, you can choose between two noise cancellation intensities and environmental interference mixtures. We will talk about it in detail in the next section.
In addition to these, the application allows you to personalize different gestures for different functions. You can customize simple, double and triple taps, as well as press and support actions, for each earpiece. You can use them to moderate a variety of music control / ANC. You can also use the action of the press and the maintenance to click on the photos.
You can use the Redmi Buds 6 headphones as a remote shutter control. However, this feature cannot be accessible when double peripheral connectivity is activated. When your helmets are only connected to your smartphone, you can press and maintain one or the other earpiece to capture an almost free image. It is neat and practical even in times when you should otherwise use a timer.
The flow LED design on the load case shows its battery level
The Redmi 6 Buds have 12.4 mm titanium diaphragms and 5.5 mm micro-piézoelectric ceramic pilots. They offer up to 49 dB of ANC and offer a total battery life of up to 42 hours. The charging box carries a 475mAh battery, while each earpie has a 54 mAh cell. The headphones are also delivered with an IP55 note for dust and splash resistance. The headphones support Bluetooth 5.4 and double -device connectivity.
Redmi Buds 6 Performances and Battery Autonomy: not quite impressive
ANC – 49DB
Battery – 54MAH (bud), 475mAh (case)
Quick load – Yes (claimed 10 minutes up to four o’clock)
Bluetooth – Bluetooth 5.4
With the double pilot units, the Redmi Buds 6 TWS helmets allow you to experience a fairly well -adjusted audio, sufficiently acceptable in a range of less Rs. 3,000. The performance of the bass is good, although greater than 50% of the volume, certain sounds, in particular the higher sounds, can often be distorted. PIENS like Good Times Bad Times of Led Zeppelin or Hush by Deep Purple are largely clear, but can be muddy on the upper guitar or vocal riffs.
The customizable equalizer at our disposal via the EOREBUDS XIAOMI application allows moderation that facilitates gaps to a certain extent. The application has predefined EQ parameters that allow you to improve bass, treble or voice in a certain track. The headphones will also allow you to opt for 360 -degree space audio. With this mode, you get a good immersive experience. But this mode also weighs on the life of your battery.
Headphones load connectors are placed inside
The application allows you to moderate and switch between the various degrees of ANC. With AC activated, the Redmi Buds 6 manages to get rid of most usual environmental disturbances. Even the whirlwind of the fan in an already calm room is considerably moderate. In public places, if necessary, they can drown most of the unwanted disturbances. However, when you are outside, you may want to keep all your faculties alert and be more aware of your environment. The mode of transparency allows you to do so. There are two sub-presidents that this mode offers, one that improves voice and another which improves ambient noises.
The double microphone configuration of the Redmi Buds 6 is passable for short -term occasional calls. The main problem with these headphones, however, lies in connectivity. They are delivered with the management of Bluetooth 5.4 and can be associated with two electronic devices simultaneously. If you look at something on your laptop and you are witnessing a phone call between the two, video reading after the call has often launched any audio until you have refreshed it at least several times. It is not only with calls; If you play an audio or audio-visual support on the second device, you can face this problem quite frequently. After the first two days, my patience was slim. I preferred to use these headphones connected to one device at a time.
The company claims that with ancient, the Redmi Buds 6 can last a total of 26 hours, with 6.5 hours on the headphones at a single load. During the examination period, with ANC, at 50% volume everywhere, the headphones were disorderly between five hours and 20 to 30 minutes. Without the ANC, the complaint is up to 10 hours of play on the headphones and up to 42 hours on the case. Throughout my time with these headphones without an ANC at 50% volume, they ran between eight hours and 56 minutes and nine hours and 23 minutes. These figures, although do not correspond to the affirmations, are not badly overall. With occasional use, a single charge of the case can last up to four working days (although it really depends on your definition of occasional use).
The double driver units offer moderately satisfactory adjustment
Redmi Buds 6: Verdict
Do you have a budget but need old headsets for occasional use? Look no further than the Redmi 6. 2,999 Bouds, they offer a friendly adjustment, a passable adjustment and an old decent. The battery life, as discussed, is not bad – it simply fails to be up to the announced brand. You must ignore the not so infrading connectivity problems and try to avoid a pout if you get a task on the case by chance.
However, if Santa Claus has smiled at you, to allow you to slightly relax your rigorous RS budget. 300 Precisely, you can consider the Nord Buds 3 pro (review), which sells in the country at Rs. 3,299. For a few hundred dollars more, you will get better construction, an impressive battery and more stable disc connectivity. These headphones are delivered with an IP55 note, while the 6 Redmi buds have a listed IP54 version. However, this will hardly make a functional difference for your occasional use. What should help you decide is that you can withdraw up to 44 hours of total reading time of Nord Buds 3 in a single load.
