The UFC will go to Azerbaijan for the first time at the end of this year.
The Federation announced a Fight Night event for June 21 at the Baku Crystal Hall, headed by a main semi -marked weight event with Jamahal Hill vs. Khalil Rountree Jr.
“Azerbaijan and the city of Baku have an incredible story of organizing mass global sporting events,” said the president and executive director of UFC, Dana White, in a statement. “We have so many great athletes from this country and around this country that it was an upcoming natural destination for us.”
Hill is a former semi -shed weight champion and student of the Consender series. He will make his second appearance in the Octagon this year after a defeat by knockout against Jiří Prochazka in UFC 311 in January. Rountree Jr. has not fought since he lost to Alex Pereira at UFC 307 last October and will have the opportunity to overcome Hill in the semi -shed weight ranking with a victory in Baku.
Also on the Baku card will be the return of Kyoji Horiguchi to UFC, who will face Tagir Ulanbekov in a fly weight fight.
The heavyweight curtis blaydes will make Rizvan Kuniev, a CONTANT SERIES Student who will make your debut in UFC.
Ismail Naurdiev and Junyong Park will face a medium weight confrontation, while Hamdy Abdelwahab and Mohammed Usman will fight heavyweight. Two fighting fights will also be on the card. The first will see Irina Alekseeva face Klaudia Sygula, while the second will feature Daria Zhelezniakova facing Melissa Mullins.
