Trump Steve Witkoff’s envoy met with Friday to Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
Moscow:
The conversations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the special envoy of the United States, Steve Witkoff, focused on establishing the Ukrainian conflict concluded at night after more than four hours.
The Kremlin published a photo on his website of the two men trembling hand in hand, saying that the meeting had taken place.
“The theme of the meeting: aspects of a Ukrainian settlement,” he said.
Russian news agencies said the meeting lasted more than four hours.
The Interfax news agency said Witkoff, President Donald Trump’s envoy for the Middle East, which is increasingly involved in Russian affairs, had abandoned the site of conversations: the presidential library in St. Petersburg, the second largest city in Russia.
The Tass news agency said that Putin’s investment envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, had returned to a hotel in the city.
