Getty imagesNick Frost, Paapa Essiedu, Janet McTeer and Paul Whitehouse will appear in the next Harry Potter television series, US Network HBO confirmed.
Frost has been interpreted as Hagrid, McTeer will play Minerva McGonagall and Essiedu will represent Severus Snape. All three would be in talks with the network in recent weeks.
HBO has now officially confirmed their casting and announced that Whitehouse, well known for The Fast Show and Harry & Paul, will play Argus Filch.
The network too John Lithgow’s announcement confirmed in February That he will play the director of Hogwarts Albus Dumbledore.
The show should start filming this summer, the first series potentially broadcast next year.
The actors playing Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger have not yet been thrown.
HBO launched an open cast for the three main roles, which would have attracted more than 30,000 submissions.

- John LithgowWho will play Dumbledore, recently played in the Oscar -winning conclave, and also appeared in 3rd rock from the Sun, Footloose and The Crown. He won an Olivier Award last week for playing Roald Dahl in Stage Play Giant, which is soon transferred to the West End
- Paapa essieduWho will represent the professor of Hogwarts Severus Snape, turned to glory in the television series, I can destroy you, and also appeared in Gangs of London and in the Lazarus project. Last year, he played in the surpassing of Saorses Ronan, and will appear in a new production on stage by All My Sons by Arthur Miller in the West End later this year
- Janet McTeer, Who was interpreted as Professor McGonagall, appeared in films such as Wuthering Heights, Albert Nobbs and the menu, as well as the television series Ozark and Jessica Jones. Later this year, she will be seen in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning
- Nick FrostWho will play the friendly Hagrid, is best known for appearing in comedy films Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World’s End and Paul. His television credits include Spaced and Into the Badlands, and he expresses SM-33 in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew
- Paul WhitehouseWho will play Argus Filch, appeared in the BBC Sketch Comedy The Fast Show series and opposite Harry Enfield in Harry & Paul. He also appears in Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing, with Bob Mortimer, while her stage credits understand only fools and horses musical
- Luke Thallon, Who will play Quirrell Quirrell, appeared in Stage Productions, notably Patriots, Albion and Tom Stoppard de Leopoldstadt. He is currently playing in a Hamlet production, playing the full role of Royal Shakespeare Company, playing the titular role

The series of phenomenal successful novels of JK Rowling has already been adapted to a cinema franchise with Daniel Radcliffe as Potter.
The television series, however, will have more breathing space to explore the intrigues of books without the time constraints of the film.
Rowling will serve as an executive producer in the television series, which, according to HBO, will be a “faithful adaptation” of his books.
New casting announcements should soon follow, with rumors swirling on other actors in discussions on membership, especially Cillian Murphy as Voldermort possible.
