The third round of the prestigious Byd Ev Innovate-A-Thon was successfully launched at the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (Tiet), Patiala, as part of a unique collaboration of the industry-academia between Byd India, a subsidiary of the energy vehicle manufacturer n. ° 1 of the world and the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC). This round, focused on the development of prototypes, served as a platform for students to show innovative ideas that fuse the excellence of engineering, sustainability and real world applications in the domain of the electric vehicle (EV).
Designed to cultivate talent ready for the future for the evolutionary automotive sector of India, the initiative attracted the participation of engineering students in various disciplines and academic levels. “We are delighted to witness such an enthusiastic participation of students throughout the country. What they are painting is nothing short of a revolution.” The third round, probably the most intensive, evaluates teams in parameters that include technical functionality, innovation, market relevance and presentation effectiveness. The event showed a range of concepts with vision of the future, from intelligent energy management systems to modular EV designs, each based on practical applications.
