Operai is updating the “memory” of chatgpt again.
In CHANGE COLLEGE and support pages On the Operai website on Thursday, the company announced in silence “Memory with search”, a feature that allows Chatgpt to resort to memories, details of past conversations, such as their favorite meals, to report consultations when the BO looks for the web.

The update occurs shortly after Operai reinforced the long -standing long -standing memory tool with the ability to refer to a user’s chat history. Apparently, it is part of Openai’s continuous effort to differentiate the chatbt chatbots such as Claude de Anthrope and Gemini of Google, the last of which also offers a memory function.
As Openai explains in its documentation, when the memory with search is enabled and a user types in a message that requires a web search, Chatgpt will rewrite that request in a search consultation that “you can also take advantage of the relevant information of the memories” to “make the consultation better and more useful.” For example, for a user that Chatgpt “knows” by memory is Vegan and lives in San Francisco, Chatgpt can rewrite the message “What are some restaurants near me that I would like” as “good vegan restaurants, San Francisco”.
Search memory can be disabled by disabling the memory in the chatgpt configuration menu. It is not yet clear what users have it, some Accounts in unknown Report that began to see the memory with the search earlier this week.
