Hawthorn midfielder Conor Nash seems ready for a long season on the sidelines, after an oscillating arm knocked Gryan Miers from Geelong on Easter Monday.
Miers was replaced outside the game with a brain shock, and Nash is expected to be sent directly to the AFL court for the incident.
The champion of the Cats, Jimmy Bartel, believes that a three -week prohibition is the starting point, but hopes that Nash will be more affected.

“(Patrick) Voss obtained three weeks and Miers was worse than (Nick) Vlastuin,” Bartel told Nine’s Classified footballreferring to another incident last week.
“It would be three weeks (suspension) and above.”
Essendon Great Matthew Lloyd agreed, adding: “Yes, very reckless. He deserves it.”

The former Adelaide captain, Rory Sloane, added that Nash needs to work in his approach technique, particularly when he pursues shorter players.
“That’s reckless. I don’t like that,” Sloane told 3Aw.
“I was against Gryan Miers, which is obviously much smaller, I needed to go down, some games will probably be lost for that. I have serious problems, I think.”
Miers will miss Geelong’s clash with Carlton next weekend while he is in brain shock protocols.
