Kyiv:
President Volodymyr Zelensky said Tuesday that Ukraine would be ready to hold conversations with Russia in any format once there is a stop the fire and the fight between kyiv and the Moscow forces has stopped.
The Ukrainian leader also told reporters in an informative session that a Ukrainian delegation meeting of the western countries of London in London on Wednesday would have a mandate to discuss a high or partial fire.
“We are ready to record that after a high fire, we are ready to sit in any format so that there are no dead ends,” Zelensky said in the informative session in the kyiv presidential office.
“It will not be possible to agree in everything quickly,” he warned, pointing to numerous highly complex problems, such as territory, security guarantees and the Ukraine membership in the NATO military alliance.
The conversations in London, which will be held to bring together officials from the United States, Great Britain, France, Germany and Ukraine, come in the midst of an avalanche of intense diplomatic efforts led by the United States to find a way to end the Russian war with Ukraine.
Zelensky said he would be happy to meet US President Donald Trump at the end of this week when they attend the funeral of Pope Francis.
