AT&T beat Wall Street estimates for wireless subscriber additions in Wednesday’s first quarter, driven by a constant demand for their plans that grouped high -speed fiber services and 5G mobile offers.

After marking a high rate of subscribers that leave their service in January, AT&T increased their agreements with promotions for the latest iPhones to include models shops in any condition.
The device updates have “laid higher than expected” from the announcement of reciprocal tariffs in early April, said CFO Pascal Decues of AT&T, and adding a continuation could lead to a removal of demand from the second half of the year.
Telecommunications companies generally experience higher update rates in the second half of the year, aligning largely with the launch of new iPhone models.

Total revenues increased 2% to $ 30.6 billion in the first quarter, compared to the estimation of analysts of $ 30.35 billion, according to LSE data.
More than 40% of AT&T customers who use fiber also opted for wireless plans, the company said.
“We believe that AT&T will continue to increase its subscribers and benefit from customers to update wireless plans,” said Dave Heger, a senior analyst for Edward Jones’ communications services.

The company has attracted subscribers with the January launch of AT&T guarantor, a policy of offering invoices credits for any interruption in its network.
AT&T also reaffirmed its free cash flow and prognosis of adjusted profits for the year and said it planned to start shares of shares in the second quarter.
The Rival Verizon recorded greater losses of subscribers in the first quarter, affected by the consequences of recent price increases and the highest promotions of the entire industry. T-Mobile is scheduled to inform Thursday after the closure of the markets.
