The Netflix series obtains a launch date and a first overview of Joanna Lumley

The first trailer for the second season of Wednesday – the most watched show in Netflix’s story – gave fans the first glimpses of Joanna Lumley and Steve Buscemi in their new roles, alongside a multitude of favorites.

The streamer announced that he would divide the new season in two – freeing the first episodes on August 6 and the second lot on September 3.

This series follows Addams on Wednesday, played by Jenna Ortega, while returning to the Nevermore Academy, now under the direction of the new director Barry Dort (Buscemi).

He is also at school, this quarter is his little brother Pugsley (Isaac Order), a character described by the executive producer Tim Burton as a “pariah among the outsets”.

Wednesday parents will also have an increased presence on campus this season – “a new form of rare torture for the fiercely independent amateur detective,” Netflix said.

The first series of Wednesday was the biggest success of Netflix to date and has cemented Ortega as a star of the major screen. Since then, she appeared in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the death of a unicorn and cries XI.

In the trailer, Wednesday’s mother, Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones), notes that this is the first time that her daughter has returned to school.

For his part, Wednesday describes the return to school as “as to return to the scene of the crime”, noting that “already knows where the bodies are buried”.

Later, the girl Addams is seen attending a macarbre tea for a group of dolls.

“Wherever there is murder and chaos,” think about Wednesday, “you will always find an adddams.”

The reference of the trailer for “Mayhem” could refer to a previously reported Appearance of Lady Gaga cameo, which recently released an album of this name.

Netflix hopes that the series will reproduce the success of the first. His decision to divide the new season into two is probably due to efforts to keep subscribers, update his platform and increase the overhaul around the show.
