Operai is bringing a new “light” version of its Chatgpt Deep research tool, which seeks the web to compile research reports on a topic, to Chatgpt Plus, Team and Pro users, the company announced Thursday.
The New Livian New Research, which will also reach free chatgpt users as of today, operates with a version of the Openai O4-mini model, says Openai. It is not as capable as the “complete” deep research, but Operai states that it is cheaper to serve and, therefore, allows the company to increase the limits of use.
“The answers will usually be shorter while maintaining the depth and quality you expect,” Openii said in a series of publications about X.
The light version of Deep Research is driven by a version of Operai O4-mini and is almost as intelligent as the deep research that people already know and love, while it is significantly cheaper to serve.

A series of deep research tools in chatbots, including Google Gemini, Copilot de Microsoft and Grok of Xai, has recently been released.
