The former Manchester defender and France, Patrice Evra, will make his debut in mixed martial arts in Paris next month.
The 43 -year -old will compete in a fight at the Paris event of the European Facticos League on May 23 at the Arena Accor in Bercy.
Evra has been doing combat training for almost a decade and has been preparing for his competitive arc with his friend and star of Pfl Cedric Doumbe.
It has not yet been announced with whom Evra will fight, and he said: “You should know now, I also love this game.
“I have acted in the largest stages in the world, I won all the main trophies in football, but PFL Europe Paris will be an incredibly special night for me.
“I have been training with the best in the world for years and they will also tell you that I am ready for this. I’m going to make a show at the Arena Accor on May 23, so they see the show.”
The PFL CEO, Pete Murray, added: “They told me to love this game as much as we will discover it on May 23! We are incredibly excited to have the superstar that is Patrice Evra Fight under the PFL banner, since we are about to exciting confrontations and make history.
Evra spent eight and a half years at Manchester United, winning five Premier League titles among a large number of honors.
He moved to Juventus in 2014 and retired six years ago, with his final appearances in a brief spell for West Ham.
