It is over the time you had to spend lakhs to buy a large television. These days, you can go under Rs. 40,000 and get a 50 to 55 inch TV that offers good visualization experience and features. Hisense has been selling smart televisions in India for several years and has made a name for himself in the budget television segment, which has several brands to choose. The television manufacturer recently sent us his new Smart TV E6N 55 inch, which was launched in India last month, for examination. It is a LED intelligent television with a VA panel which is available in three display sizes and offers a 4K UHD resolution on the three sizes.
The 55-inch variant of the Hisense E6N is available online purchase on RS. 39 999. Does this price justify a good viewing experience? What type of features can you get a TV at this price? Read the rest to discover it.
Hisense e6n smart tv design: modern and thin
- Dimensions – 1233 × 716 × 80 (without support)
- Weight – 10.9 (without support)
- Color – Black
Hisense opted for a clean and thin design that seems premium. You get thin glasses on the sides and the top and a slightly thicker chin down. The Hisense logo is present on the left left edge, and you get the power switch and the center indicator. The switch leaves and is transparent.
The TV also offers a wall mounting support
Aside, the E6N is again thin and modern, but the whole construction is made using plastic, with the exception of the frame, which seems to be made of metal. And that’s good because it is a budget television. The TV is supported by two plastic stands that seem strong. The television configuration with the supports included is super easy and takes about five minutes. However, I noticed that the TV tilt slightly backwards when placed on the stands. Overall, the whole television is robust and you also get a wall mounting option with Vesa mounting screws included in the box.
You get a lot of connectivity options on the TV
The rear of the TV is also quite minimal, with the power outlet on one side and all the other E / O ports on the other. You get 3 HDMI ports at the rear that support EARC and 4K at 60 Hz. There is also an AV input, an RF input, an optical audio, two USB ports, an Ethernet connector (RJ45) and a 3.5 mm headset.
Hissense E6n Smart TV Display and sound: good for the price
- Size – up to 65 inches
- Resolution – 3840×2160 pixels
- Refreshment rate – 60 Hz
The Hiense E6N revision unit which was sent to us had a 55 -inch LED screen with a VA panel which offers a 4K UHD resolution at a 60 Hz refreshment rate. You can also get the TV in 43 and 65 -inch screen sizes. Hisense offers an 8 -bit panel with HDR10 and HLG support, variable refresh rate (VRR), Auto Low Low Low (AllM), HEVC decoder and increase in AI 4K. It is said that the panel would deliver up to 300 brightness, a native contrast ratio of 5000: 1 and an angle of vision of 178 degrees.
In terms of color reproduction and HDR, the panel is decent, with a good color outlet and a contrast. However, you will see excessive videos in HDR videos. At this price, you can’t expect anything more honestly. The viewing angle on the panel is also quite well, with colors and blacks starting to wash while watching the side television. The display becomes a lot shiny inside, but if you have a light source that strikes the TV directly, you will find it difficult to consult a darker content.
You have access to a bunch of display modes, with my favorite being the filmmaker mode
By switching to sound, the Smart TV offers a 24W double-speaker configuration. The speakers are oriented downwards and can become a lot noisy. The mediums and the ups are clear, but they lack bass. The TV supports Dolby Audio DTS DTS Virtual X and offers several modes, which somewhat improves sound experience. There is also an AI sporting mode that improves the voice of the commentator and other playing sounds to offer you an immersive experience, and it works in a way. If you want a real immersion, however, it is best to obtain a sound configuration or a Dolby Atmos sound bar.
HISENSE E6N SMART TV Software, features and remote control: enough options
- OS – Google TV (Android 12)
- Screen miroration – DLNA / Chromecast / Miracast / Airplay
- Connectivity – Wi -Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3
Like most others, the intelligent Hisense budget television performs Google TV out of the box. The operating system here is Android 12, and you get the familiar Google TV user interface and navigation. You also get the support of Google Assistant searched and access to the Play Store to download the supported applications. There is also a support for Alexa from Amazon. The television is preinstalled with essential streaming applications such as Prime Video, Netflix, etc. There is also no Bloatware, which is pleasant.
There are many different modes available for sound and video, including a filmmaker and a cinema mode, which are good for watching movies. You also get features such as the super-resolution of the AI which sharpens the edges of the objects. It works well in most situations, but I found that the images were sometimes excessive. There is also an AI Upscaler 4K functionality, which does a decent job.
The remote control offers a lot of keys and is easy to use
The TV also offers integrated chromecast, which allows you to broadcast videos and photos of applications such as Google Photos, YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video and others. You can also broadcast using an iOS device because the TV supports Apple Airplay and Apple Homekit. There is also a management of DLNA and Miracast, allowing you to launch from supported devices. As this is a Google TV, you can also control the TV using your Android phone with the Google TV application.
When you go to the remote control, you get a D-PAD, keyboard shortcuts for Netflix, Video, YouTube, Hotstar and Sony Liv, and a customizable key that can be assigned to an application or an action. There is also a menu button that quickly launches the settings anywhere in the user interface and a Google Assistant button for voice search. Overall, it is a well Klaïe remote control that works well.
Hisense E6n Performance Smart TV: does the work
- Processor – Quad -core Mediatek MT9630
- RAM – 2 GB
- Storage – 8 GB
The Mediatek MT9630 processor on the Hisense E6N is tried and tested. It is a quad-core chipset that is used on most smart budget televisions and does the work. And like most intelligent televisions of this price backet, you will get the usual 2 GB RAM and the storage of 8 GB (of which only 5.6 GB can be used). However, this storage should be enough to install all your favorite applications.
Regarding overall performance, I noticed a little offset when launching applications, moving between applications, cleaning the video and switching the entries. It was catchy on the first day, but as I started using it, the user interface seemed to become a little slow. This is not enough for you not using the TV, but it is noticeable and can sometimes be boring. Try not to install too many applications and often continue to erase the cache if you don’t want to see the lag.
The Hiense E6n Smart TV offers VRR and Allm
Now let’s talk about play. The Hisense E6n has something called Game Plus mode that should offer a fluid game experience. It is self-activated when you connect a game console. I connected the Sony PlayStation 5 and I played a few games to test. Although the game was responsive, there was a little delay when accessing the settings menu. The TV offers a variable refresh rate and a low latency MEMC which supposedly helps the game performance gently. The panel always refreshes to a maximum of 60Hz and the variable refresh rate passes between 48 and 60 Hz. HDR still does not work very well in this mode. But again, it’s nothing too bad for the price.
Hisense e6n intelligent television verdict
The Hisense E6n Smart TV is a good purchase if you have a budget and you are looking for something that offers good value. It has a nice modern design with super thin glasses, good software that works well most of the time, a panel will decent which is shiny inside and a pair of noisy speakers. The remote control is also quite good. The image quality could have been better, but overall, it is an excellent package. While the RS. 39 999 The price of the 55 inch variant is not bad, I think you can get a better offer if you expect discounts or sales.
