Remo Stars Sports Club de Ikenne has been crowned champions of the Nigeria Premier League 2024/2025 [NPFL]Win the title with three games to play.
It has been a brilliant season for Sky Blues, and a 1-0 house victory against Niger’s tornadoes on Sunday sealed his historical triumph. The victory means that the coach Daniel Ogunmodede coach now has 10 points away from Rivers United second.
Remo Stars needed a victory to ensure the title, but Niger Tornado gave him a difficult test, which struggle to stay in the League. A late Wonder goal from Adebayo was enough to deliver the three points and its first NPFL trophy.
The victory arrived on a special day, since it also marked the birthday of the club president, Kunle Soname.
After finishing second in the League during two consecutive seasons, Remo Stars has finally achieved his dream of becoming champions of the highest category of Nigeria.
