It was a pleasure to meet Guy Morpuss on a wonderful night organized by Viper Books a while ago, and I am excited that my last weekly review is from Guy’s Guy’s A trial in three acts.

A trial in three acts of Guy Morpuss

A test is rather as a play.
We use our costumes. We act to the audience.
And on a good day, no one is killed.

Six nights a week the cast of the work of blows Daughter of the Revolution Act to an audience with exhausted entries. An exciting story of forbidden marriage and a child of secret love, critics say it will be executed for years. That is until one night, the third act does not end in applause but in death, when the protagonist Alexandra Dyce is decapitated live on stage.

Each cast member has a reason, but is the co -star of the dead, and ex -husband, Hollywood Leo Lusk, accused of the crime. When defense lawyer Charles Konig is brought at the last minute, he knows that this should be the case of a lifetime. But Charles would prefer to be on his vacation to make a K2, and is not interested in celebrities, especially those who seem to be mysteriously trying to derail his own defense. But as he and his co-abogead, New York’s lawyer, Yara Ortiz, crosses the evidence, it is clear that the clues can be in the work itself. And that Charles’s only possibility is to identify the true murderer …

However, here I can say that A trial in three acts It is a really ingenious and intelligent closed room murder that I found very entertaining, with a brilliant vision of theater and people.
