Beats Solo 4 was launched earlier this year, and the latest headphones on the company’s ear went to India in August. They are equipped with audio features found on more expensive Apple wireless headphones, including space audio with dynamic head follow -up and loss -free audio management, but lack the management of active noise cancellation (ANC). The headphones are compatible with iOS and Android devices and include a standard-C USB port for load. The Beats Solo 4 competes with headphones at similar prices from Bose and Sony.
The price of solo beats 4 is set at Rs. 22,900 in India. It is sold in three dyes – Cloud Pink, Matte Black and Slate Blue (the company sent us this variant for examination) – via the company’s online store and retailers authorized in the country.

These exaggerated headphones are mainly plastic and seem quite similar to the previous generation models, apart from the most pastel colors that give them a slightly less edgy look. It also means that they are fairly light to wear for long periods, even if you can feel them on your head. The ear plates do not seem to be distributed by the user, which is regrettable.
Beats Solo 4 presents a familiar design
Like its predecessors, the Beats Solo 4 have the logo of the company in relief on both ears. There is a small “ 4 ” on the right side of the adjustable banner, while the interior of the banner contains more text linked to regulatory information (right) and to a left ear indicator – none of them is visible when you wear the headphones.
The headphones are shipped with a transport pocket which is slightly amortized, as well as a 3.5 mm audio cable and a Type-C USB cable that can be used for loss-free audio reading or to load the headphones. However, you will have to buy an electric adapter separately.
I have a fairly long head and I wear glasses, but the solo 4 beats felt comfortable even after having worn them for a few hours at a time. However, the adjustment of helmets can vary from person to person, so it is better to try them in a store to make sure they feel comfortable on your head.

Like the Beats Studio Buds + and the Solo Buds Beats, these wireless headphones work with Android smartphones and most Apple devices. You will need to download the Beats Companion application on the first, while the same commands are cooked in the Settings application on iPhone, iPad and Mac computers.

You get a quick pair service for Google on Android and a quick pair on Windows when you configure the Beats Solo 4 for the first time. If you have an iPhone or an iPad, you will see the familiar card appear asking you to connect to the headphones. The device also works with the search for Apple Find My Service, while Android users can see where the device has been connected for the last time to the Companion application.
The left ear allows you to control media reading and manage calls – a single press stops and resumes reading, while calls can be answered and dumb with a single pressure and end with a double press. You can also push the top and bottom of the panel to increase and decrease the volume, respectively.
A button on the right side must have been in a long time to light and turn off solo 4. The lower left ear has a 3.5 mm audio port and an LED indicator that indicates when the headphones are loaded and used, while the right ear has a USB type C port, upgrade on the solo 3 model with a USB microphone port.

Like the other Audio products from Beats and Apple, the Companion app on Android and the integrated audio settings for SOLO 4 Beats do not include the management of equalizer presets. This means that you will have to rely on media applications that include their own EQ controls, such as Spotify or Powramp.

Solo 4 Beats headphones are equipped with 40 mm improved pilots and redesigned acoustic architecture. They have a neutral sound signature, which means that they are ideal for various kinds of music, and there is no perceptible distortion, even when listening to music at the highest volume.
My usual listening test playlist contains tracks that extend on various genres, and solo 4 beats could easily manage it. The voice of Sasha Alex Sloan seems extremely clear about the ancients, while the mediums and the bass have a great separation. The same goes for the day light of Taylor Swift, where his voice is clearly audible of the background music.
Abba’s Mia mom and want are excellent on solo 4 beats, with sufficient accent on all instruments. Afterglow by Inxs, a track which generally sounds “muffled” on many headphones, was clear with just the right amount of bass.
Solo 4 beats felt comfortable on the ears even after a prolonged period
Beats Audio Products has acquired the reputation of offering a warm audio in U, but that does not seem to be the case for Solo 4. The Yo Soy María extremely occupied by Ástor Piazzolla and María Dueñas is a classic piece which contains a mixture of violin and piano which are both clearly audible on the listeners. This is also noticeable on n ° 24 in a minor, by Hilary Hahn, another track with a quick rhythm that sounded well.
As expected, the Beats Solo 4 headphones manage the tracks such as the Billie Eilish birds of an effortless feather, and there is no distortion, even when the volume is increased. The response of the bass on the crab flow by Nle Choppa and NBHD Nick at the top is excellent.
Like the other solo beating audio models (such as solo buds), these wireless headphones do not offer an ANC. This is disappointing to see on a device at this price, especially since the wireless headphones at similar prices offer excellent ANC performance.
Although the lack of ANC can be a flagrant omission of The Beats Solo 4, the headphones offer two useful features – Spatial audio with dynamic and audio -free head follow -up via USB Type -C or 3.5 mm audio ports.
I connected the headphones using the two interfaces and I found that the sound quality was excellent, and the wired mode allows you to use the device even when the battery is empty. Meanwhile, you will need an iPhone to use space audio with a dynamic head tracking function, and it works reliably while listening or watching music and supported videos respectively.
Beats says that solo 4 is equipped with digital beam formation microphones that are used with a voice targeting algorithm designed to improve the quality of the voice on calls. It works perfectly with the integrated noise reduction function on the iPhone, allowing users to take calls while wearing the earphones.

The Beats Solo 4 is not equipped with an Apple H Series chip or the W series, which means that there is a lack of care of the transparent switching on Apple devices. However, associating it with an iPhone allows it to be used on all Apple linked devices, and the fast pair function on Android allows users to use it.
Depending on the company, the Beats Solo 4 can offer up to 50 hours of media reading, but keep in mind that these are features such as space audio with dynamic head follow -up or vocal call. After using the headphones to take calls or meetings and listen to music, I had about five days of use with an average of eight hours a day, which is somewhere around 40 hours.
Even if you end up using the headphones for an extended period, you should not have to load them more than once a week. The company claims that its quick fuel function allows users to connect the headphones to a compatible charger and obtain around five hours of reading with a load of 10 minutes.
Beats Solo 4 Review: Verdict
If you are looking for a pair of colored wireless headphones under the RS. 25,000 mark well that work well with Android smartphones and Apple products, then the Beats Solo 4 is easy to recommend, thanks in part to its reliable sound quality and excellent battery life.
However, if you do not need features such as space audio with dynamic head tracking or you do not have an Apple device that allows you to access the functionality, you may want to consider the much cheaper JBL Ears earphones.

Wirelessly advanced headphones in the same price segment include the Sony Wh-1000XM4 (Revue), the Marshall Monitor II and the Bose Quietcoft wireless helmet. Alternatively, you can wait for the price of Solo 4 beats to lower before buying the headphones.
These headphones offer an ANC support, which is missing on solo 4. The oldest Solo Pro of 2019 are available from certain sellers in India for approximately RS. 25,000, with the support for transparent switching and the ANC using Apple’s H1 chip, if you do not bother you the port of depreciated lightning and the lifespan of the announced battery (22 hours and 40 hours with activated ANC, respectively).
