The star said that he had been able to finish dozens of slopes that were sitting in his safe during the pandemic

Bruce Springsteen opens his archives to let fans hear seven albums finished, but never published before.

The recordings, which date from 1983 to 2018, “will fill rich chapters of the long -term Springsteen career – while offering an invaluable overview of his life and his work as an artist,” said Sony Music.

Among them, there are bands that work on sessions that led to Rock Classic Born in the United States, and an album that experienced drums and synthesizers in the early 1990s.

“I have played this music for myself and often close friends for years now,” said Springsteen in a statement. “I’m glad you will have the chance to hear them finally. I hope you enjoy them.”

The music will be revealed on a box of seven CDs (or nine vinyl discs), entitled Tracks II: The Lost Albums.

The exit scale is very different from its predecessor, tracks, the four discs of which have collected random coupes and faces B of the first 25 years of the Springsteen career.

According to a press release, Tracks II will present 83 songs, 74 of which have never been officially published in any form.

Many songs, including the fugitive dream and do not retreat on our love, have circulated on bootlegs for years, but will finally be heard as a studio.

Springsteen said the press release was made possible when the COVVI-19 pandemic allowed him to “finish everything I had in my safe”.

Fans have known for years that the Springsteen jump contains hours and hours of unknown equipment.

Contact Variety magazine in 2017The star admitted: “We did many more records than we released. Why did we not publish these records? I didn’t think they were essential.

“I might have thought they were good, I may have had fun doing them … But throughout my professional life, I felt like I had released what was essential at a certain time, and what I got in return was a very clear definition of whom I was, what I want to do, what I sang.

“And I always essentially judge what I do by the same set of rules.”

In a Video trailer for tracks II, Springsteen added: “I often read on me in the 90s as having a lost period or something.

“And I really worked, really all the time.”

First song released

Fans will finally be able to hear these songs “lost” in June.

Springsteen said they would offer an overview of the home records he made after the commercial success of Born to Run and Born in the United States released him from the pressure of the use of commercial recording studios.

“The ability to record at home whenever I wanted to allow me to enter a wide variety of different musical directions,” he said in a press release.

This includes Faithless’s “Sonic Experimentation”, a film soundtrack to a film that has never been directed.

Other unpublished albums include Country-Lean somewhere north of Nashville, cut in May 1995; And Twilight Hours, an orchestrated pop album that was written and recorded during the same period as the western stars of 2018.

There are also the “richly woven border tales” by Inyo, whose song titles – including the Aztec and Ciudad Juarez dance – suggest a Latin American influence.

Springsteen described the latest disc, Perfect World, as “the only thing on this subject that was not initially designed as an album”, highlighting several songs that he wrote with long -standing collaborator Joe Gruscky in the 1990s and in the early 2000s.

In a first taste of the collection, he released the rain in the river, from Perfect World, whose muscular drums and minceos comments present the raw power of his ordinary support group in Street Band.

The announcement occurs a month before Springsteen kicks off his European tour, with dates in Manchester, Liverpool, Marseille, Berlin and Prague, among others.

The 75 -year -old has recently promised to continue playing live “until the wheels stand out”, but said that he had reduced his tours after his wife, Patti Scialfa, was diagnosed with a myeloma, a rare blood cancer.
