Mitchell stepped on Keon Ellis de Sacramento near Midcurt before losing his balance and shooting the left ankle. The six -foot and three -inch guard twisted pain while the coaches looked at him before breaking up to the locker room.
Mitchell finally returned after almost seven minutes of action of the game. He played the last 15:02 of the 120-113 defeat of the Cavaliers. I was limping around the locker room after the game.
“I want to get the only seed and go from there. If I can go, I can go,” said Mitchell, who had 19 points in the defeat. “A little limited after the first adrenaline or probably the first five to 10 minutes. But I am trying to win and help my team win in any way possible.
“I will not evaluate the future until we discover what is ahead. I will be intelligent and solve it when I get to it.”
Mitchell takes the Cavaliers to score, averaging 24 points per game. He is the only player in the league with an average of at least 24 points in 32 minutes or less.
Mitchell has lost only four games this season due to an injury, including three last month due to the pain of the left groin.
Cleveland has a 62-16 record and needs one more victory or a defeat in Boston to conclude the best record in the east conference for the fourth time in the history of the franchise.
