The Trump administration will remain firm in its reciprocal tariff “Face the Nation” of CBS Sunday.

The actions have been sold largely in the USA and worldwide after President Donald Trump launched broad tariffs on April 2. In addition to a 10% tax in all imported goods, Trump announced higher levies in imports from 57 countries, which will take place on April 9.

“The tariffs are coming. He announced it, and was not joking. The tariffs are coming. Of course they are,” Lutnick said.

He added that the White House is not considering an extension of the start deadline.

“There are no postponents. They will definitely remain in place for days and weeks,” Lutnick said. “The president needs to restore global trade. Everyone has a commercial surplus and we have a commercial deficit.”

In the two negotiation sessions after the declaration, the global shares erased $ 7,46 billion in market value, based on the market capitalization of the Global Market Index S&P Broad, according to the S&P Dow Jones indices.

Lutnick’s comments echo the Treasury Secretary Scott Besent a “Meet The Press” by NBC on Sunday. Besent said the Trump administration “will keep the course” by imposing rates.
