India and Pakistan will discover relations between them, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, said Friday when the tensions shot between the two neighboring countries after a terrorist attack in the pahalgama of Jammu and Kashmir, which was the worst in almost two decades.
Trump, speaking with journalists on Air Force One, cited historical conflicts in the region and said he knew the leaders of both countries, but did not respond when asked if he would contact them.
“They will solve it in one way or another,” he said while traveling aboard his plane. “There is a great tension between Pakistan and India, but there has always been.”
On Tuesday, 26 men were killed in a tourist site in Kashmira, shot dead in a meadow. India has said that there were Pakistani elements in the attack, a claim that Islamabad denies.
