Donald Trump has caused a global tariff war
Brussels:
The EU adopted on Wednesday its first measures that they backed down in the fees notice of President Donald Trump, pointing to more than 20 billion euros of American products, including soybeans, motorcycles and beauty products, the European Commission said.
“These countermeasures can be suspended at any time, if the United States agrees a fair and balanced negotiated result,” said a commission statement. The taxes are retaliation for the previous tasks of the United States on steel and aluminum, with Europe’s response to Trump’s latest rates still to announce.
