When flash devices are programmed in a production environment, speed and flexible use of programmers are key: programming data must often adapt and change in the short term to take into account the use of line or the latest firmware version. Until now, this meant that flashing images always had to update locally in the programmer. This makes the programming process unnecessarily inflexible, which consumes a lot of time and logistically complex. To solve this challenge, Göpel Electronic has made its Flashfox universal programmer transmit: with this function, the programmer dynamically recovers the content that will be programmed from the central server, ensuring that it is always updated. This simplifies the rapid flash programming and allows the central administration and the second per second of the images in the production environment.
At the same time, Flashfox can operate in independent mode. The transmission mode facilitates the management of specific data of the objective through the dynamic programming data transfer. Flashfox is the first independent programmer of the world with an integrated Jam/Staple player according to the JESD71 standard. This integration expands Flashfox’s capabilities to perform standardized test and programming operations in each channel independently.
If necessary, external pods can be connected to each flashfox at a distance of up to 4 m, which allows flexible use in a wide variety of production environments, including those prone to interference. However, this can lead to critical times of signal propagation, which can be calculated and compensated to use a new Adycs automation function. This makes the programmer’s performance for each channel independent of the distance to the target, even in complex facilities.
Flashfox is the first programmer with WLAN connectivity, which allows perfect integration in the Iiot world and support for flexible implementations of industry 4.0. The flashfox can be configured, control and verify safely through any web browser using the integrated web server, without the need for separate PC software. This allows remote maintenance of programmers even in remote production sites.
