  • Designed for controlled automotive blowers, pumps and fans in thermal systems
  • It also drives Smart BLDC actuators in seats, doors, lifting doors and cargo doors
  • It completely admits the field -oriented control algorithms (FOC) for low noise and high efficiency

TDK Corporation extends the power capacity of its family of integrated motor controllers Micronas HVC 5x with the new HVC 5481G for automotive applications. The HVC 5481G is a programmable door controller system in Chip (SOC) for the control of an external power bridge with 6 FETs of N channels to boost actuators, fans and pumps. HVC 5481G samples are now available and production will begin in 2026.

The HVC 5481G SOC is compatible with the existing HVC 5X family software, integrating a CPU Cortex-M3 with 64 kb and 8 kb SRAM flash memory. It works directly from the 12 V automotive supply railway and integrates a Lin transception for communication. The IC admits several engine control algorithms from the 6 -step switching without a sensor using the Bemf detection to the FOC member. The device includes 7 PIES IO for general use, internal timers and capture comparison records, allowing a seamless interface with the Microns Effect sensors Hall or TDK TMR.

Available in a compact PQFN32 package 5 x 5 mm and certified according to the AEC-Q100 grade 1 standards for Automotive, the HVC 5481G offers a reliable and efficient solution for BLDC applications of medium power. Its robust design and advanced characteristics make it the device chosen for automotive and industrial applications, ensuring high performance and adaptability.
