George Kambosos will have another chance to become world champion when Sydney’s fighter faces American super light champion of IBF Richardson Hitchins on June 14 in New York.
The ring informs that the fight will take place at Madison Square Garden, the same place where Kambosos surprised the world when he demolished Teofimo López in 2021 to become the unified lightweight champion.
Kambosos has only competed in super light once, surpassing the late replacement Jake Wylie last month in Sydney.

But after signing with the Eddie Hearn party room, he has the opportunity to take another belt against Hitchins, which is native to New Yorker.
Hitchins (7-0, 7 KO) won his IBF belt to defeat another Australian, Liam unemployed, by decision divided in December last year in Puerto Rico.
Hitchins, known more as a technician than as a fighter, will enter the fight as the favorite and represented Haiti at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
Kambosos, the number 3 contender of the IBF, is 2-3 since the victory over López, with his three losses arriving at Devin Haney (twice) and Vasily Lomachenko.
If Kambosos can leave Madison Square champion a champion, there are many possibilities that they establish a totally Australian clash with unemployment.
Unemployment, who has lost alone before Hitchins, occupies fourth place for IBF, with the number 2 position in the IBF vacant.
