Joe Rogan has joined the growing tribe of Teetotalers.
In a recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience”, the 57 -year -old Podcaster said he has stopped drinking alcohol.
“I think I’ve finished,” he said. “Without any reason, apart from that, it is not good for you.”

Rogan said he didn’t have to quit smoking and enjoyed it, but that the days after the drink were “too rough.”

“And I say: ‘What kind of fool who takes care of your body so well poisoning a couple of days a week for fun?'” He continued. “Why am I doing that?”
Rogan, who is also an UFC commentator, said he wondered: “Will I still have the same amount of fun if I don’t poison me?”
“It turns out yes,” he said.
“I think I’ve finished,” he said. “Without any reason, apart from that, it is not good for you.”
Other celebrities that have been open about their alcohol cessation include Brad Pitt, Rob Lowe, Valerie Bertinelli, Bradley Cooper and Elle Macpherson.

It also damages the body, he warned, harming the metabolism of glucose and interfering with the regulation of blood sugar.

“It contributes to metabolic dysfunction and the accumulation of visceral fat and increases the probability of type 2 diabetes,” he said.

Studies have also shown that alcohol is a carcinogen, associated with higher liver rates, breast, esophagus, colon and head/neck cancers, even with low levels of consumption, Osborn said.
“When someone stops drinking, the benefits are immediate and deep,” he said.

After leaving alcohol, which is a depressive, people generally have a new motivation to exercise and pursue other healthy habits, the doctor added.

“My patients in these medications not only notice significant suppression of appetite, but their ‘thirst’ of alcohol is drastically attenuated,” Osborn said. “Most stop drinking completely within six to 12 months.”
The neurosurgeon predicts that these medications can soon be part of a double approach strategy: “to facilitate alcohol abstinence while simultaneously promoting the loss of fat and improving the metabolic health of a person, thus reducing their risk of almost all diseases related to non -infectious age.”
