Two men have been arrested in the MCG during the AFL Collingwood-Carlton game on Thursday night, after allegedly smuggling firearms loaded in the place.
According Age, A 21 -year -old man from Roxburgh Park and 37 years of Broadmeadows were arrested after being found who had hidden weapons hidden in their pants, after having been in the center of a disturbance of the multitude of half game.
It is still unknown how firearms could take weapons beyond stadium and MCG officials, or if the two men were urracas or blues supporters.
The incident is a significant violation of stadium safety, and could have had disastrous consequences given a monstrous crowd of 82,058 attended the party.
As a consequence, there was a greater police presence outside the place immediately after the game, which the Uracas won 8.15 (63) to 6.10 (46) to consign the blues at a beginning of 0-4 in the season.
“Security called the police in the MCG to help with two men who refused to leave the place due to their behavior,” said Victoria Police in a statement.
“As a consequence, the police arrested two men and during a search it alleges that two firearms were located in each of these men.
“A 21 -year -old Roxburgh Park man and a 37 -year -old Broadmeadows man are in custody.”
