We prefer that we like the cyberster mg. The interesting sports cars of interesting appearance are not exactly numerous at this time, and although in no way was perfect, the Roadster was an impressively bold attempt to control what the new segment should be. But innovation and good appearance only take you so far in a niche that does not have the volume of sales that the game changes, so after establishing the reputation of its ‘cybernetic’ alignment, it seems that MG will continue with something almost guaranteed so that the traigators at the door: a thick SUV.
These first images, launched ahead of the new model’s debut in the Shanghai Auto Hall, suggest that the Cyber X will rival a G-Wagen for the admission that challenges the air flow. Clearly, this is not a coincidence: wholesale use of a right angle in the SUV design has become the call card for a complete generation of options with power, all in the hope of grafting 4×4 sensibilities of the old school on platforms of the new school. So, although the ‘innovative innovation’ may be among the MG conversation points, aesthetically, the X is inclined in nostalgia as a rehade episode of Fraser.

Of course, the practical of such robustness is the space that leaves Natty details. Here they include full width LED light bars, MG badge illuminated and (apparently) hidden doors. Underneath you can expect to find the E3 architecture developed by SAIC, a new modular solution that uses battery composition to contribute to the structural stiffness of the body, and is configured to underpin a series of incoming EVs. There is still no word about the technical details, but obviously given ‘lifestyle’ of the Cyber X, and the luxury image of the brand can expect the exit to be wide to the point of luxurious.
Unlike Cyberster, the newcomer will not be up to the rivals, and it is unlikely that the interest of the enthusiasts in the same way will arouse, but thanks to their broader alignment, MG already enjoys a base of dedicated and rapid fans in the United Kingdom, and (assuming that the Cyber X is the same global launch that the Roadster made) is a popular addition to the exhibitions. Especially if it comes with a well chosen price label: a single engine cyberster is £ 54,995, essentially the same price as a Porsche Boxster of entry level. Meanwhile, the Macan Electric begins at £ 68,500.
