Motorcycle G45 5G was launched in India last month as a last addition to the G series of smartphones. It is the spiritual successor to the G34 motorcycle that arrived in India earlier this year and offers some material adjustments and improvements. A Snapdragon 6S Gen 3 chipset feeds the G45 5G motorcycle and has an IPS LCD screen with a 120 Hz refreshment rate. The handset rear panel has a vegan leather finish. He competes with smartphones at similar prices such as IQOO Z9X and Realme Narzo 70x 5G.
This handset is available in 4 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 128 GB of RAM and storage variants which are at the price of Rs. 10 999 and 12 999, respectively. The company provided us with a motorcycle G45 5G examination unit with 8 GB of memory.
Moto G45 5G Design: seems familiar
- Dimensions – 162.7 x 74.64 x 8.03 mm
- Weight – 183g
- Colors – brilliant blue (in this criticism), brilliant green and Viva Magenta
If you hold the motorcycle G45 5G and the slightly older motorcycle G34 one next to each other, you will see a lot of similarities between them in terms of design. The new handset has a vegan leather finish on the rear panel, which facilitates entry if you prefer to use your phone without protective blanket.

The G45 5G motorcycle nickname is not mentioned on the rear panel, and the only way to say that it is a Motorola phone is the Batwing logo located in the center of the screen. The combined has flat plastic edges, and the upper edge includes the Dolby Atmos logo.
Camera island on the G45 5G motorcycle is located on the upper left edge of the rear panel, and the phone oscillates a little when you place it on a flat surface. Fortunately, the handset is delivered with a transparent TPU case, which takes care of this problem. The lower edge of the handset has a 3.5 mm helmet socket, a Type-C USB port and an speaker grille. The G45 5G motorcycle is also delivered with a USB cable type A to C and a 20 W load adapter.
G45 5G motorcycle software: contains Bloatware, a notification spam
- Software – My UX
- Version – Android 14
- Last security fix – June 1, 2024
Like the other Motorola budgetary phones, this smartphone has My UX Skin of the company, based on Android 14. The handset does not seem to have Bloatware in the system which cannot be uninstalled, but it downloads applications and places promotional application files (shopping, entertainment, Gameshub) on the home screen – they can be manually disabled.
The phone will also invite you to activate a view plugin that activates a permanent place on the lock screen that displays weather and new updates. You can deactivate this, even if you have accidentally activated it when configuring the phone. You must also deactivate the MotoHub application to prevent the phone from spaming you with somewhat unrelevant news.

The G45 5G motorcycle comes with features on the other smartphones of the company, including family space, unplugged and motorcycle secure. Some of these applications are very useful, in particular the secure folder and phishing protection features and quick motorcycle gestures that allow you to switch various features or carry out actions on the phone.
The G45 5G motorcycle will be updated on Android 15 at a given time in 2025, and the telephone will receive two years of security updates every two months, according to the company. Most of the phones at this price are promised to receive a major Android update, except for the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G, which will obtain two Android updates and four years of safety updates.
MOTO G45 5G Performance: above average
- Processor – Snapdragon 6s Gen 3
- Memory – Up to 8 GB
- Storage – 128 GB (UFS 2.2)
Like the most expensive G85 motorcycle, this handset is also fed by Snapdragon 6S Gen 3, a 6 nm chipset from Qualcomm which is a renamed version of the three -year SOC Snapdragon 695. Although it is disappointing to see the processor on the G85 motorcycle, when the competition was equipped with 4 Nm chips, it is more acceptable in this price segment.
This phone can easily manage daily tasks, including web browsing and social media, response to emails and reading light games. Some applications have taken a little more than a second to open when it is loaded for the first time, but there was no problem when reopening applications.
Motorcycle G45 5G performance is tied with similar prices
Games like BGMI run on HD settings and a default “high” francs, while I was able to play asphalt legends: unit on default settings. I have not noticed any major problem with stuttering or slowness. Gametime motorcycle functionality is automatically lighting up and offers the possibility of deactivating notifications, blocking calls and optimizing other features. You can also choose from the balanced performance modes, turbo and battery, but there was no significant change in performance when they are used.
In synthetic reference tests, the G45 5G motorcycle has obtained scores that are tied with smartphones like the North OnePlus CE 4 Lite and Iqoo Z9X. It also offers the same CPU and GPU performance as the most expensive motorcycle G85 model.
Here is a practical table that will allow you to compare the Moto G45 5G reference scores with other smartphones that are also available at a similar price.

The smartphone has an IPS HD + 6.5 -inch IPS screen (720×1,600 pixels) which does not become shiny enough when using the phone in full sun. The adaptive light mode is reactive, which makes quick adjustments depending on the ambient lighting levels.
The display is refreshed at 120 Hz and feels smooth and optimized for daily use. The “natural” display mode appears a little hotter than other Motorola phones, like the G85 motorcycle, and I ended up choosing the “saturated” mode on the G45 5G motorcycle.

Motorcycle cameras G45 5G: Slow but stable
- Main camera – 50 megapixels, up to 1080p / 30 IPS Video
- Macro camera – 8 megapixels, fixed focus
- Selfie camera – 16 megapixels, up to 1080p / 30fps video
During the day, the G45 5G motorcycle allows you to capture decent images when there is enough natural light, but the camera takes a little more than a second to capture each image. There is a little noise and softening when you zoom. In extremely brilliant scenarios, the dynamic beach takes a bit of a blow, with a sky appearing more brilliant than when the image was captured. There are enough details when you zoom, and there is not much noise or softening.

The delay in the capture of the images is more pronounced in the scenarios of low light, where the motorcycle G45 5G takes a few seconds to take a photo with the night vision mode, then treat it. This can be a problem if you try to click on an image with a moving subject. However, if you can keep the phone for a long time, the phone captures light images with enough details.
You can also capture images with the 8 -megapixel macro camera that allows you to get very close to your subject. He sometimes finds it difficult to focus on subjects, and you should continue to move the phone until the image in the viewfinder is clear. Color reproduction is not tied with the primary camera – the colors are more saturated, while certain brighter areas are overexposed.
The 16 -megapixel selfie camera on the G45 5G motorcycle works well during the day, capturing detailed images. The “embellishment” features are also disabled by default, and the Camera application offers integrated filters while clicking on selfies. The selfie camera leaves much to be desired in low light scenarios, capturing images with a lot of noise and smoothing.
Moto G45 5G is equipped with a double rear camera configuration
Video recording at 1080p / 30fps is supported both on the main and selfie rear cameras, although the first offers much better video quality. If you want to save the video for yourself, it is probably better to use the rear camera using a tripod or a gorillapod because it offers a better balance of whites, contrast and clarity compared to the rear camera. The low -light video recording is lower than the party, even with the integrated stabilization mode activated.
G45 5G motorcycle battery: very reliable
- Battery capacity – 5,000 mAh
- Witting load: 18W USB PD
- Load: 20W (included)
The G45 5G motorcycle weighs more than 180 g, thanks in part to its 5,000 mAh battery, which offers more than a day of use – if you are not stuck to your phone. During the time I spent testing the phone, I was able to get about seven hours of time and 15 hours of watch before the phone needed another load.
Moto G45 5G easily offers a day of moderate use
This included about two hours of applications on social networks, SMS and an hour playing asphalt legends unite. This is normal for the course with regard to budgetary smartphones, which have low -resolution screens that are not very brilliant.
During our HD video battery loop test, the G45 5G motorcycle lasted about 23 hours before the battery was completely exhausted. It took about two hours and five minutes to fully load the phone using the load adapter that is shipped with the phone.
Moto G45 5G Review: Verdict
There is a lot of competition in the 5G budget smartphones segment, and the G45 5G motorcycle is one of the many phones that offers decent experience for less than 12,000. It does not have exceptional features, but the Snapdragon 6S Gen 3 chipset offers equal performance with more expensive smartphones.
Motorcycle G45 5G competes with several smartphones in the budget segment
Laggy camera software, macro camera and notification spam are three reasons to avoid buying the G45 5G motorcycle. It offers a reliable battery backup, but it would have been pleasant to see a faster load on the handset.
If you are not faithful to the Moto G45 5G, the other smartphones to consider in this price segment with comparable specifications include the IQOO Z9X (Revue), Realme C65 5G, Realme Narzo N65 5G, Infinix Hot 50 5G or the old Samsung Galaxy A14 5G.
