YouTuber MRBEAST apologized after his experience MRBEAST in a seaside resort in Las Vegas was not up to invoicing.
The influencer, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson and has more than 385 million subscribers, said that the event “was certainly not the experience that we hoped to deliver” and promised to catch up by inviting all the people assigned to his studio.
The World Las Vegas Resort event was announced as an “immersive” and “unforgettable” experience which included exclusive games, a menu on the theme of MRBEAT and mysteries bags supposed to contain limited edition goods, including one with a gift of $ 10,000 (£ 7550).
Those who attended the three -day event complained and asked for reimbursements.
A crowd of frustrated fans faced the CEO of Alex Dixon resort on Tuesday, asking him to reimburse the $ 1,000 (£ 750) that they spent for the three -day event.
The fans arrived at Resorts World Las Vegas while waiting for fun games and exclusive experiences of MRBEAST, but some said they were waiting in their hotel rooms for their mysteries bags and were disappointed.
“It should have been like mini-games, meet and greet, photo sessions, special drinks and things,” said Theresa Metta, who went to Las Vegas with her mother in 8newsnow, a subsidiary of the American BBC CBS News partner.
“Unfortunately, we didn’t have anything of all this.”
Instead, customers have camped in their hotel rooms while waiting for days to make their bags arrive. And when they did, the guests were disappointed.
“I was told to wait in my room for two days for an upcoming package, so I legitimized two days in my room so that an upcoming package, and it was a box of chocolates,” said Ms. Metta.
Several users have declared on social networks that they had received t-shirts of different sizes, which could be purchased for $ 9 (£ 7) online.
One of them published a video on Tiktok accusing the hotel and the star of Youtube of “False Advertising”, saying that it was a “horrible” experience.
Responding to the complaint of a fan on X, Donaldson admitted that he “was certainly not the experience that we hoped to deliver” and promised to catch him by inviting all the people assigned to his studio.
The event has since been removed from the hotel website.
The BBC contacted Donaldson and Resorts World Las Vegas to comment.
