Nvidia clearly disagrees with the Anthrope support for export controls in AI chips manufactured in the United States.
On Wednesday, Anthrope doubled his support for the “framework for the dissemination of artificial intelligence” of the United States Department of Commerce, which would impose export restrictions of radiant chips from May 15.
The next day, Nvidia responded with a very different version of the next controls.
“American companies should focus on innovation and ascend on the challenge, instead of telling them stories that are somehow, heavy and sensitive electronic somehow on ‘potholes’ or ‘along with live lobsters'”. Nvidia spokesman told CNBCIn reference to Anthrope’s claims of how these AI chips are being introduced in countries led by US controls, such as China.
Export restrictions would damage Nvidia’s global income flow. Nvidia recently stated that a new license requirement for their H20 AI chips to be sold in China could cost the company $ 5.5 billion in the first quarter of its fiscal year 2026.
