Panasonic Industry Europe announces the launch of PAN1783, a low energy Bluetooth module (LE) that follows the very required PAN1780. On the basis of the success of its predecessor, PAN1780, PAN1783 establishes new standards in performance, versatility and efficiency.

According to Tomislav Tipura, product manager of the IoT department of the Panasonic industry in Europe, “PAN1783 represents a significant leap forward in Bluetooth technology, which offers incomparable characteristics and capabilities to meet the evolutionary needs of our customers.”

Being as compact as 15.6 x 8.7 mm, PAN1783 is one of the smallest NRF5340 modules currently available in the market. It is driven by the single NRF5340 Nordic chip controller, with ISOOson for audio support channels. This advanced module is available with a chips antenna on board and a RF background pad, which provides flexibility to adapt to several design requirements: CE RED, FCC, UKCA und Ised certified included.

With Bluetooth 5.4 improvements, including isocrone channels, LE audio and support for a high performance of 2 Mbps, advertising and long -range extensions, PAN1783 offers exceptional performance. Its system design in all in one (SOC) combines the best features of the NRF52 series with higher performance and memory, all while minimizing energy consumption. The improved sensitivity of the NRF5340, together with the coded PHY, makes the PAN1783 an attractive option for a wide range of applications, including advanced computer peripherals, I/O devices, portable devices and wireless audio devices. In addition, its ultra -low current consumption makes it ideal for devices with batteries, which extends operational useful life.

Equipped with two Cortex®-M33 processors, one as application processor and the other as a network processor, PAN1783 offers perfect integration and independent operation. This eliminates the need for an external processor, simplifying the design, the reduction of space requirements and, ultimately, helps reduce costs for manufacturers.

In addition to its impressive Bluetooth capabilities, PAN1783 admits the arrival angle (AOA) and the discovery of the direction of the output angle (AOD), improving the services and applications based on the location. In addition, it is also compatible with the close field communication type 2 (NFC-A), facilitating simplified pairing and payment solutions when used with an external antenna.

PAN1783 represents the next evolution in Bluetooth wireless technology, which allows developers and manufacturers to create innovative products in even broader application fields.
