Realme recently unveiled the batch two of its latest series of numbers in India, including Realme 13 and Realme 13+. New phones offer improved processors, design changes and some other improvements in relation to their predecessors. Both are mid -range phones that have been at RS. 30,000. I have Realme 13+ with me for almost 10 days now, and I especially wonder why Realme launched this phone when its predecessor, Realme 12+, was only five months old. It turns out that there are some reasons why. But is it logical to go from Realme 12+? Read the rest to discover it.

In India, Realme 13+ starts at RS. 22,999 for the 8 GB + 128 GB variant, while the 8 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB options are listed at Rs. 24 999 and Rs. 26 999, respectively. Our examination unit came with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

Realme 13+ Design: New rear panel

  • Dimensions – 161.7 x 74.7 x 7.6 mm
  • Weight – 185g
  • Colors – Dark purple, speed green and Gold Victory

Realme 13+ offers a design similar to the old 12+ model if you look at the phone from the front, but there are some changes at the rear. He now gets a new rear panel model and a slightly redesigned camera module. According to Realme, the inspiration of the model comes from keywords “victory” and “speed”. There is a curve under the module of the camera which offers a design distinction. The upper part of the phone has a simple matt finish, while the background has a marble design. We have the dark purple color option, which looks darker than purple.

The marble pattern on the rear panel is more important under a certain lighting

The camera module is now more oval than a circle, and the ring that surrounds it has specifications of the camera engraved on it. The new design is more pleasant than its predecessor, but I miss the leather finish. Fortunately, the entire rear panel offers a matt finish and does not attract fingerprints. The rear panel also has slightly curved edges, making the phone comfortable to hold.

Realme uses molded aluminum and a monobloc metal skeleton on the phone for sustainability. The phone has flat sides and feels fairly robust and well balanced. You will find the power and volume pimples on the right, while the top houses a 3.5 mm headphone jack, an speaker grille and a microphone. The bottom obtains another microphone, a speaker grille, a USB type C port and a SIM tray slot.

You get a 3.5 mm headphone jack at the top

The phone is now classified IP65, greater than the IP54 note on Realme 12+. The SIM card tray now has a red rubber seal.

Realme 13+ Display: lively and smooth

  • Screen size – 6.67 inch Full -HD + AMOLED
  • Refreshment rate – 60/120Hz
  • Protection – Panda glass

The Kingdom 13+ obtains a flat screen with thin borders at the top and sides with a slightly thicker chin. It is protected by Panda Glass and is delivered with a thin preinstalled film. It is best to remove this and get an appropriate screen protector. The display uses an AMOLED E4 panel manufactured by Samsung which offers a cooling rate up to 120 Hz and a Full HD +resolution. The panel has a brightness peak of 2,000 nits and is readable outside. Realme declares that the panel meets a range of p3 colors at 100%, and in use, I found that the screen offers vibrant colors and deep blacks.

The display supports up to 120 Hz of refreshment and offers several color modes

You get four color modes in the Settings – Live, natural, cinematic and shiny application. I would say stay with lively or shiny if you like pop colors. There is also a shiny HDR video mode available because the screen supports HDR10 + and also offers HDR image support. For those who like to use their phone with wet fingers, the screen also has the Smart Touch function.

The phone also offers a facial unlock function

The display has a blow of a hole at the top and there is a fingerprint scanner at the bottom. I’m not a big fan of his placement, but it works well.

Realme 13+ software: please stop the bloatware

  • UI – Kingdom UI 5.0
  • OS – Android 14
  • Last security fix – July

I used enough budget and mid -range phones to find out that there will be a lot of Bloatware. This is the same story with Realme 13+. The phone runs Android at 14 based on the 5.0 user interface of the box and is pre-installed with several games, a look locking screen, hot applications, hot games, etc. Fortunately, most can be uninstalled and things like hot applications can be disabled. However, it would have been more pleasant not to have them on the phone.

Realme has promised two years of updates to the operating system with three years of security correction, which is similar to what the competition offers. With Realme UI 5.0, you also get certain features fueled by AI such as Ai Clear Voice, which is supposed to improve the quality of calls and the smart loop, which allows you to quickly share selected content with other applications. There are also air gestures, an intelligent sidebar, a divided view and several other features that you will find in Parameters > Accessibility and convenience.

Realme 13+ Performances: Games take place gently

  • Chipset – Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Energy
  • RAM – Up to 12 GB
  • Storage – up to 256 GB

Coming to performance, the Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Energy Soc on the phone is good for daily use and games. This is one of the main sales arguments of the phone, and I understand why. Although I faced hiccups by sailing in the user interface and launching applications, the phone was never lagging behind when playing games. This chipset is excellent for the game with a budget. It also has up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

The phone does not warm up much when you play games

As always, I directed our usual set of landmarks on the phone to see how it compared to other phones in the same price segment.

3dm Life Sauvage3 1613,0354,165
3DM wild unlimited life3,1553,0654,272

The phone worked fairly well in the references but did even better in real life. One of the reasons why this phone excels in the game is due to the 6050 mm² stainless steel cooling room that the kingdom included here. Even during long BGMI sessions, the phone was slightly hot. I ran BGMI with the available graphics available, and it worked gently and delivered between 80 and 90 images per second. There is also a GT mode which guarantees a maximum of executives in all games, and it worked as announced even on COD.

Besides the game, the phone successfully successfully during telephone calls and 5G download speed tests. I also found the double-speaker configuration on the phone strong and strong, but I want it to have a little more bass.

Realme 13+ cameras: Fairly good

  • Main rear – 50 megapixels sony ly-600, f / 1.8, ois
  • Secondary camera – 2 megapixels
  • Selfie camera – 16 megapixels

Realme said that his series of non -pro numbers would focus on performance more than cameras, but I found that the camera configuration on Realme 13+ is quite good during the day. There is a double camera configuration on the back, which unfortunately has no ultrawid. The camera application is easy to use and gives you direct controls to all the different modes. There is also a pro mode.

It would have been more pleasant to have an ultrawid camera instead of the depth sensor

The main sensor of 50 megapixels Sony Lyt-600 takes good photos in daylight. They have large details, slightly increased colors and a decent dynamic range. The white balance is also quite good in daylight, and the images have no strange colors. The Sony sensor also works well in low light conditions, providing enough light. The camera goes into automatic night mode, taking a few seconds, but the results can be used. Of course, there is noise, but it’s not too bad, honestly. Discover some samples below.

From top to bottom: 3 x daylight photos, 3 x photos of low subsidiary, 1 x portrait photo (press to develop)

Unfortunately, there is no other sensor usable on the phone. The secondary camera is a depth sensor that helps with portrait photos, but the results are not finished. Passing at the front, the selfie camera also lacks color and skin details, but you need good photos in daylight conditions. However, he suffers even more in low light conditions. Coming to video, Realme 13+ can run videos with a maximum resolution of 4K to 30 frames per second. You will have to go to 1080p to 60 images per second for an ultra-stable video. The video quality is decent and you can get well stabilized photos in broad daylight with impactful colors.

Realme 13+ Battery: Long duration

  • Capacity – 5,000MAH
  • Quick load – 80W
  • Load – Included

Realme 13+ has a 5,000 mAh battery which can easily last one day or more with normal use. While 5,000 mAh is nothing special in this price range, 80 W fast charging support is included.

Realme 13 PLUS 5G Review5 realme12plus5g realme

An 80W charger is included in the box

In our HD video loop test, the smartphone lasted approximately 29 hours, which is quite impressive. In daily use, I obtained approximately 6-7 hours of time screen with the screen set to a 120 Hz refresh rate. As for load speeds, the phone went from death to 100% in about 55 minutes. You can get a full day with about 30 minutes of load.

Verdict in Kingdom 13+

If you are on the purchase of an ideal budget phone for games and offers good battery life, Realme 13+ is an excellent choice. The phone also has a decent primary rear camera, a smooth screen and a beautiful minimum design, and you get a quick load of 80 W segment. However, if you set up from a realme 12+, I think you should skip it.

There are several alternatives in the same price range. For example, the Nothing 2A phone (review) is also a good choice if you want a unique design, similar performance, decent cameras and a much better software experience. Motorola Edge 50 merger (Revue) Offers better cameras, software and design. You can also look at something like the northern OnePlus this 4 (review), which offers improvements in all areas.
