Watching movies and television shows is one in my favorite ways to relax, and I am absolutely to make the experience as immersive as possible. For me, it means weak lighting, a solid configuration, a solid screen and – ideally, a complete silence. I have always been attracted by the idea of having a projector, mainly for the pure screen size it can offer. There is something undeniably exciting to fill an entire wall with an image of 100 inch and to have the perfect excuse to refuse the lights.
The problem with most projectors is that they tend to be large, difficult to install and far from portable. This is where the M10 Viewsonic intervenes – an RGB laser projector that promises thrills on the big screen in a compact form suitable for travel. When I unpacked it for the first time, I was really surprised by its small size. It made me ask myself: something that this elegant can be up to all the statements that sight is? And more importantly, is this worth the value of the premium price of 1.50,000?
Viewsonic M10 design
The Viewsonic M10 is compact and well designed. In terms of dimensions, it is about the same size as a MacBook Air M1 and weighs approximately 1.36 kg. Compactness means that you can take it realistically with you wherever you go. It is available in a single silver color option with a minimalist design which seems both modern and premium. There is an in -depth use of metal, plastic and rubber everywhere.
The projector has basic touch control controls on top
You will find basic touchscreen controls at the top of the projector, which allow you to control volume and reading. The front has the RGB laser and a camera for automatic focus. You will find plastic panels on each side with gates for ventilation. The design of the grille is quite unique, but seems less premium than the rest of the device.
The power button is well hidden
A power button is located on the left side and all connectivity ports are positioned on the right. Speaking of connectivity, you get a Type A USB port, a Type-C USB, HDMI 2.0 Out and DC power in the port.

The lower side of the projector houses a support without step which allows adjustable projection angles. However, as it is a compact projector, there is not much adjustments. You also get a threaded hole at the bottom to fix a tripod or other supports. The projector can also be placed on the back to project images on the ceiling.

The remote control is backlit and has a G sensor
The M10 is also delivered with a backlit remote control which has all the necessary keys. This is a practical remote control, but my only reproach with him was the automatic backlight that lights up each time you use the remote control thanks to a G sensor. Yes, it’s great at night, but I would like there to be a way to turn it off during the day because I am sure he is draining more battery.
Viewsonic M10 performance
The Viewsonic M10 has an RGB laser unit instead of an LED lamp. The laser has a lifespan claimed of 30,000 hours and 2,200 Lumens Laser RGB. Although the native resolution is 1080p, the projector supports resolutions up to 4K, which means that you can connect this to a variety of devices and get the best possible output. It comes with a 1080p projection system of 0.23 inch which can produce an image size between 40 and 180 inches, but I recommend not exceeding 120 inches. You also get digital zoom from 0.8x to 1.0x.
The RGB laser becomes very brilliant
The image quality is quite good highlight directly with many details and vibrance. Even if the room is not completely dark, the RGB laser helps to project light images. The M10 supports HDR and offered a 100% BT.2020 color coverage.
There is a lot of fine available setting
You can also adjust the colors, modify the color modes, the color temperature, adjust the interpolation of the frame, switch between HDR and SDR, adjust the brightness and the contrast, and more.
The films offer cinematographic colors and can be very immersive
The projector also supports the automatic setting of four horizontal and vertical keys and the automatic focus. This means that you can place the projector from an angle while obtaining a symmetrical image on the wall. The autofocus is fast and particularly practical when moving the projector during use.
The projector offers basic and advanced parameters
The user interface on the M10 is relatively easy to navigate. The Home screen has tiles to access files, applications, settings, switching inputs and preinstalled applications. You can connect the projector to Wi-Fi and run Netflix and other streaming services from it. The projector has an integrated 16 GB storage and also supports Bluetooth 4.2 with streaming both in and outside. Yes, you can connect your headphones or a wireless sound / speaker bar system to the projector or use the speaker as an output device for your phone.
The projector is delivered with a 7W cube speaker, hidden behind the grille on the right side
Speaking of sound, the projector offers a single speaker 7W Harman Kardon which is sufficient for a medium-sized room. There are good bass, sharp voices, and it becomes very strong. However, for a larger room, especially if there are a lot of people, you should probably connect a Bluetooth speaker.
The user interface is easy to navigate
One of the features I love is the management of USB type-C content streaming. You can just connect your laptop or telephone in the USB Type-C port and start broadcast immediately. The port also bills the connected device. There are also other features, such as wireless screen mirror, supporting streaming devices like Google Chromecast, Apple TV, Fire TV and Roku.
I also connected the PlayStation 5 to the projector and it worked perfectly. It does not offer a high rate, but color reproduction is splendid, especially when you play games that support HDR. The heat is also very well managed on the M10 Viewsonic, and the fan does not become uncomfortably strong during use.
In terms of performance, the compact projector has done an excellent job. The image quality is really good and bright, the pop colors, the integrated speaker is strong enough for most rooms, and you get a lot of personalization options. You also get a nice clean user interface which is easy to navigate.
Verdict M10 Viewsonic
The Viewsonic M10 is a compact projector that strikes well above its weight in terms of functionality and performance. Despite its small size, it offers an impressive set – but at a high price. Launched in India at Rs. 1.50,000, it is undoubtedly not adapted to the budget, especially when there are more affordable compact projectors on the market.
The M10 is really portable
That said, the M10 justifies its price with a high level experience. Its RGB laser projection produces an amazing image quality with vibrant colors and sharp details. The integrated Harman Kardon speaker offers a strong and clear audio, and the projector supports the USB type-C streaming and the wireless screen for more convenience.
If you are not limited by the budget and you are looking for a well -designed and rich projector that is easy to transport and configure, the Viewsonic M10 is an excellent choice.
