Siemens announced that it has completed the acquisition of Altair Engineering Inc., a leading software supplier in the industrial simulation and analysis market, for a business value of approximately USD 10 billion. With this acquisition, Siemens extends its leadership in industrial artificial simulation and intelligence (AI) adding new capabilities in mechanical and electromagnetic simulation, high performance computing (HPC), data science and IA. The addition of the Team and the Altair technology will further improve the most complete digital twin and will make the simulation more accessible, so companies of any size can bring complex products to the faster market.
