The Sony Linkbuds series has always been special of the brand, because it also brings innovations. Whether it is the outdoor design in the earphones or more, the company always tries to deliver something unique with its Linkbuds series. And now, by making this inheritance, we have the brand new Sony Linkbuds Fit, a new pair of mid -range wireless headphones that focus on users centered on fitness. The latest headphones bring part of the quality of the Sony Signature audio and a light and premium design for a price of RS 18.990. So, is it logical to opt for these new headphones at a time when the competition is quite fierce? Let’s discover in this review.
Sony linkbuds Fit Design and characteristics: compact and comfortable
- Size – 21 x 19 x 15 mm (buds); 47.2 x 47.2 x 32.6 mm (case)
- Weight – 4.9 g (each bud); 41g (with cases)
- Resistance to water and dust – IPX4 (buds only)
- Colors – Green, white and black
The first and first thing you will notice on the headphones is the unique Hamburger type case. He looks compact, which makes him easier to take with you. I like the fact that the case comes with a mixture of a shiny top to make it premium and a rubberized base for more socket. There is a USB type-C port on the back, as well as a button to reset the parameters, while the front has a small LED light to indicate the state of torque and load.
The Sony Linkbuds Fit is available in three color options: white, black and green.
The headphones are available in three color options: green, white and black. I had the black color option for the exam, and I must say that it looks minimalist, although the shiny surface is sensitive to scratches.
By opening the cover of the case, you will be welcomed with one of the most comfortable headphones available in India. The headphones go to only 4.9 grams per bud, which makes them the lightest in industry. It also comes with what Sony calls adjusted supporters, which allow you to twist and lock the buds in your ears.
The tails are soft and more flexible than most of the plastic points available in other sports headphones, but they always keep them very securely. So, even if you run, shake your head or make a perilous leap, the links will not fall.
The headphones are delivered with the IPX4 note, which makes them sepières during the training sessions.
Interestingly, the headphones also have an IPX4 note, which means that they can resist perspiration and light rain without too many hassles. The headphones are also delivered with gesture checks, which were not exact, to be honest. They are equipped with the functionality of Large surface TAP, which allows users to control the helmets by typing in front of the ear, except type directly on the headphones.
The functionality seems interesting but is delivered with a good part of defects. There were times when the headphones did not record the tap gesture. That said, you can customize gesture controls from the application, although you should always go through a learning curve to identify the ideal point to use gesture controls.
Sony Linkbuds Fit App and Specifications: Easy to use interface
- Driver – 8.4 mm
- Companion Application – Sony Sound Connect
- Gesture checks – Yes (TAP)
The Sony Linkbuds Fit comes with a companion application through which you can control several functions. The Sony Sound Connect application is available on Android and iOS platforms, which is good. The application interface is fairly easy to use, and you get important information on the home screen, such as battery percentage, noise cancellation options, etc.
You can also get easy access to the equalizer, to speak to conversation, the effects of background music and the device settings on the home screen. The application gives you total control to modify the equalizer settings, configure 360 Audio reality, measure the headphones for a secure adjustment, and more. You can also customize gesture checks using the application. By default, you get a double tap on the left bud to move between the ANC and the ambient sound, while the repeated valves will reduce the volume. Likewise, type on the straight bud and you can play / hang music, triple tap to change the song and repeat TAP to increase the volume.
You can adjust a five -band equalizer or select from Sony’s presets like a shiny, soft, vocal, relaxed, excited, sharp boost, a word boost, a word, and even more via the application. There is also a management of Sony’s DSEE (Digital Sound Enhance Engine), which helps audio files with low -end low -resolution for a cleaner listening experience.
With regard to specifications, the Sony Linkbuds Fit offers certain flagship features. The headphones have a dynamic 8.4 mm x pilot and offer advanced noise cancellation. It also comes with an automatic ambient sound mode which adjusts noise cancellation levels depending on the environment. The headphones are also delivered with the integrated processor of Sony V2, which is also present in the Sony WF-1000XM5 lighthouse. In addition, you get high resolution audio certification. The Sony Linkbuds Fit also supports the SBC, AAC, LDAC and LC3 audio codecs. The headphones are delivered with Bluetooth 5.3 and multi-point connectivity.
Sony linkbuds adjusts the battery life and lifespan: bass, reliable battery
- Codec management: SBC, AAC, LDAC, LC3
- Load – Wired (USB Type -C)
- Bluetooth – 5.3
Let’s start with the noise cancellation performance of the Sony Linkbuds Fit. The headphones are responsible for an active noise (ANC) cancellation, which is quite effective, and you get three different modes: noise cancellation, its ambient and off. The cancellation of noise works well in most conditions, but if you look at a level similar to Bose or Apple, then these are not only there. Once on, the headphones are able to easily cut lower frequencies. However, noise isolation is not as tall as that of the Sony WF-1000XM5. Even with the ANC, you can always listen to votes near your table or the clicking of the dishes. And it is not because of the quality of the ANC but due to poor isolation.
The Sony Linkbuds Fit comes with a dynamic 8.4 mm pilot and offers high resolution audio.
On performance, the Sony Linkbuds Fit offers an airy and robust sound scene, which is slightly heavy in the bass. The bass is powerful and dominant but does not control mediums and summits. So, by playing Eminem as I am, the headphones have delivered a good separation of sound. The voices were clear and noisy, while the bass was on the point. With the loyalty of Kendrick Lamar, the headphones managed the sub-bass very well during the choir.
Mediums and summits are decent, although they cannot reproduce the similar outing as we have seen in the Sony WF-1000XM5. The mid -range can be slightly recessed. The summits are clean, although they lack an airy factor, which you could find in the high -end models of Sony or Bose. I also liked the fact that the company brought the care of different codecs, which facilitates adaptation to the needs of a listener. For example, with AAC, you can read the highest quality audio from your iPhone.
Wireless headphones are also delivered with good microphone quality.
The headphones are also delivered with a decent battery life. The company claims that you can get until 9 p.m. backup with the case and up to 7 hours of backup on each earpiece. During the test period, I discovered that the headphones delivered almost four hours of backup with the activated ANC. With anc deactivated, you can get almost six hours of backup from each bud.
I got almost 20 hours of play with the charge case. Coming at load speed, the headphones can be fully loaded in 2 hours and 30 minutes at 3 hours. In addition, 5 minutes of load do not put you an hour of reading.
The Sony Linkbuds Fit comes with Bluetooth 5.3 and supports multi-point connectivity.
The quality of the call is also good. The microphone on the adjustment of the linkbuds is decent enough to capture my voice and filter unnecessary background noises.
Sony linkbuds adjusts Verdict
To conclude, the Sony Linkbuds Fit is one of the most comfortable pairs of wireless headphones available in this price segment. The light design makes it comfortable to wear for a longer period. Silicone points and tails are comfortable, and you will not feel any discomfort while carrying these headphones. It also makes all the routine of exercise delicious. In addition, with an IPX4 rating, you will not have to worry about sweat or light rain during the exercise.
The headphones have a special price of RS. 18,990.
The performance is good for the price. The sound profile is ventilated and impactful. The headphones have a particular accent on the bass, but they also effectively manage mediums and highs, but not as well as we have seen in the Sony WF-1000XM5. Active noise cancellation (ANC) works well, although noise isolation is not so great, to be honest. The battery life is decent, if not brilliant. So if you are one of those who like to work while listening to music and want a comfortable pair of headphones, you can consider them.
