After being bothered earlier this week, Star Wars: Zero Company was officially revealed at Star Wars Celebration Japan on Saturday. The game’s film trailer presented the main cast of Zero Company: a group of undercover specialists who will control in this game of tactics in shifts. Developed by BIT reactor in collaboration with Entertainment of Respawn and Lucasfilm Games, Star Wars: Zero Company will be launched for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S in 2026.
Located during the twilight of the clone wars, the players will enter the shoe of the former officer of the Republic Hawks, who leads a team of online specialists behind the enemy lines. Some of the characters here include a clonetrooper, a Jedi gentleman and a mandalorian, all of which are original characters created for the game. Bit Reactor says that players will embark on a campaign of tactical operations and research at zero Company, and among missions, they can develop a basis of operations and gather intelligence through their network of informants.
Personalization seems to be a large part of the game, since not only can the appearance and combat class of the protagonist hawks be altered, but the recruited operations can also be customized from a wide range of classes and original species of characters of Star Wars. For the cast of the Zero Company whom Hawks Command, Bit Reactor refers to these allies as “creation characters” with which players can interact and forge strong ties. Doing this in turn will unlock combat synergies that can change the course of the battle.
“Our vision for Star Wars Zero Company is based on game design pillars that are woven in the immersive Star Wars Galaxy with an attractive game of tactics in shifts,” said Bit Reactor director Greg Foertsch reactor in a press release. “Our goal is to offer a game with an original Star Wars story of the Era of Clone Wars that has significant results of the players’ elections and a deep tactical combat in shifts with an accessible and cinematographic presentation.”
Star Wars Zero Company is one of several Star Wars games currently under development. Heavy Rain and Detroit: Be Human Developer Quantic Dream announced Star Wars: Eclipse all the way in 2021, Respawn is working on a Jedi Threequel by Star Wars, and Skydance New Media is also working on a mysterious game of Star Wars.
