The actor of Hollywood Val Kilmer, known for his roles in some of the greatest films of the 1980s and 90s, including Top Gun and Batman Forever, died at the age of 65.
He also played in The Doors in 1991 – playing the leader of the legendary Jim Morrison group – plus the Western tombstone and the criminal drama Heat.
Kilmer died on Tuesday in pneumonia in Los Angeles, said his daughter Mercedes. She said that her father had received a diagnosis of throat cancer in 2014 but that he had recovered later.
Tracheotomy surgery affected his voice and reduced his acting career, but he returned to the screen to resume his role as a fighter pilot Iceman alongside Tom Cruise in Top Gun of 2022: Maverick.

In 2021, Kilmer published a documentary chronizing the ups and downs of his life and his career. Val, who made his debut at the Cannes Film FestivalHas 40 years of home records, which speaks to it with post-firm surgery of the vocal box.
Born Val Edward Kilmer on December 31, 1959, Kilmer grew up in a middle -class family in Los Angeles.
His parents were Christian scientists, a movement at which kilmer would adhere to the rest of his life.
At 17, he became the biggest student of the time to register for the Julliard School, in New York, one of the most prestigious theater conservatories in the world.
He made his name in the top secret comedies! In 1984 and Real Genius the following year, before cement of his actor references as Iceman, the Nemesis of the character of Crusie Maverick in Top Gun in 1986, one of the decade determining films.
Kilmer continued to play in Fantasy Willow and the criminal thriller Kill Me again – alongside British actress Joanne Whalley, whom he married in 1988. The couple had two children.
He also proven his dynamic and versatile talents when he convincingly portrayed the Leader of Rock Morrison in the doors, 20 years after the singer’s death.
Tombstone, in which he played the spokesperson Doc Holliday, and Heat, in which he appeared alongside Al Pacino and Robert de Niro, were also successful.
He took over Michael Keaton’s Batman’s milestone for Batman forever in 1995, which succeeded in the success of the box office but mixed criticism, and Kilmer withdrew from Batman’s next film.
In 1997, he appeared in the saint as a criminal master and disguise master – based on the books of Leslie Charteris, who had also inspired the 1960s television program with Roger Moore.
Kilmoer also played the crazy game of Marlon Brando on Dr Moreau’s island in 1996 – but this film became one of Hollywood’s most notorious flops.
