A leading soccer explorer has said that he has recommended Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare for the best European club for which he works.

Arokodare has caught the attention of many football followers with their strong performances for Genk, who currently leads the Belgian table of Jupiler Pro League.

The former Amiens striker made his international debut for the Super Eagles of Nigeria on March 21 in a World Cup Romana qualifier. Four days later, he played his first home game in a 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe.

Genk signed Arokodare from the French Club Amiens in early 2023 for 5 million euros, defeating Anderlecht to his firm. Now, they are expected to get a great gain if it is sold this summer.

While the Turkish Turkish side showed interest last year, the striker is now attracting the attention of even bigger European clubs.

The explorer, who preferred not to be appointed, said Het Laatste Nieuws through Voetbalnieuws:
“I told my club: if you are looking for a striker, firm Tolu. I think Genk will ask for about € 25 million, but the agreement could close for 20 million euros.”

Genk’s technical director, Dimitri de Condé, recently said that the club would like to keep its key players, but admitted that both Zakaria El Ouahdi and Arokodare could go to the end of the season.

Arokodare is currently a scorer in the Belgian League with 18 goals in 33 games.
