Donald Trump was chosen to do a job for voters in the Swing states that determined the 2024 elections little. Trump was not chosen to deport immigrants or let Elon Musk destroy the federal government. Trump was chosen to reduce inflation and reduce costs.
Trump said that simply choosing it, inflation and costs would fall. Low information voters, and frankly, voters who had tuned in the elections and were looking for an easy answer because they were upset by inflation and high prices, they believed.
The president and his party have tried to argue from the elections that Trump has a mandate for all his unpopular policies.
