Katy Perry has just played the edge of space. Wendy has just played a nerve.

In one of the most strange brand moments versus celebrities of the year, Wendy’s fast food chain launched a spicy opportunity for pop star Katy Perry shortly after completing its suborbital spatial flight of blue origin, and when asked to apologize, the brand of the restaurant doubled.

The drama began on Monday, when Perry landed on Earth after an 11 -minute trip to the stars aboard a blue origin flight next to Lauren Sánchez, Gayle King and three other women.

The moment of the milestone went viral on social networks. Then Wendy’s came.

Under a Pop Crave publication that celebrates Perry’s return, Wendy’s X.
“Can we send it back?[?]”

The publication hit like an icy slap, and they kept coming.

In a turn in Perry’s breakout, “I kissed a girl,” Wendy’s story made fun of the singer for kissing the earth on the land return of the ship of blue origin.

The reaction was not far away. Fans hastened to call the hamburger giant to hit, and not in the way rival chains generally handle.

Blue Origin and its totally feminine mission: Rapid facts

For Thursday, People Magazine reported that Wendy had had the opportunity to return. Instead, the brand took the picturesque route around an apology.

“We always contribute a bit of spice to our social,” a spokesman told People, “but Wendy’s has a lot of respect for Katy Perry and his talent outside this world.”

But not everyone loved heat. A source close to the situation told people that the post crossed a cheap to cheap line.

“Wendy didn’t make a joke, they made a decision,” said the source.

“This was not a harmless joke, this was a mark of one billion dollars that used its platform to publicly degrade a woman … when the marks of one billion dollars come together, it is irresponsible.”

Even Perry’s space traveler, Sánchez, weighed, making it clear that he was not impressed by the trolling.

She told people that I would gladly give Wendy’s a look behind the scene of the blue origin to show them how serious and significant it was the mission.

“I would love to come to Blue Origin and see the thousands of employees who not only work here, but put their heart and soul in this vehicle,” said Sánchez. “Come with me. I will show you what it is, and it’s really revealing.”

Wendy’s has not tweeted more on the subject.

The Wendy media relations team did not immediately respond to Fox Business’s request for consultation.
